January 1st is around the corner, along with an end to my daily posts, at least for now.
Dementia is so debilitating and Hubby needs more of my time.

The presentation is fantastic!!! You must add it to your "Ladybug's Cooking Book"!*****
Though I love salads (combination of various veggies, fresh & boiled) and I eat a bowl every day....KALE is a little challenging....

@Japanalia: Thank you, Gabriela ... I'm happy you like it. I had my doubts until I tried it. The massaging/kneading breaks down the fiber and softens it.

fantastic visual recipe, judy! only the smell is missing ...
i must admit i've never heard of it before as a salad, only as a vegetable.

@franz: It is amazing what happens to it when it is massaged (bruised).
Truly worth the work!

I will give this recipe to my wife Wendy; she loves kale.

28 Feb 2015 7:22pm

@beach: I think Wendy will like it; just be sure that she really 'bruises' the kale.
The massaging is what makes it; I tried speeding up the process and it's not the same.
It needs the full two minutes.

Very interesting Judy.... never heard of massaging before and reading your responses it's something that you really need to do. I don't know if I would like it but then again I won't know unless I give it a try. I love your collage with the instructions... excellent... so easy to follow. It kind of made me hungry though.... so close to dinnertime!! :)

@Carol: Carol, it's the delicious combination of good olive oil, lemon juice and salt that's so tasty!
