President's Day

Posted by
Judy aka L@dybug (Brooksville, FL, United States) on 16 February 2015 in Documentary & Street and Portfolio.

`
...I remember celebrating both Washington's and Lincoln's birthdays separately in February,
however now we have just one day for both. Some history here.

January 1st is around the corner, along with an end to my daily posts, at least for now.
Dementia is so debilitating and Hubby needs more of my time.

@beach: Ah, I didn't know there was such a thing as "Family Day" ... I hope it was a blessed one for you and yours.

A post which is so apropos for today! I empathize with your thoughts. I don't recall hearing anything about Lincoln last Thursday, particularly since I live in the "Land of Lincoln."

@Steven: Some may call it progress ... I think of it as a loss to this nation, when we stop revering our early leaders.
