...from our melancholic visit to our old hometown last summer.
This scene embodies the feelings when, after a long day at work,
we would go to the harbor (five minutes from home), board our
sailboat with supper in the picnic basket and sail past these homes
and out of the harbor. We would often anchor in the shelter of
Charles Island just offshore, to enjoy the peace and quiet. It was
enjoyable then ... and the memories are sweet all these years later.
January 1st is around the corner, along with an end to my daily posts, at least for now.
Dementia is so debilitating and Hubby needs more of my time.
