That wool hat itches...

Posted by
Judy aka L@dybug (Brooksville, FL, United States) on 25 March 2014 in Documentary & Street and Portfolio.

...so he's gonna' scratch.
I found their 'rifle hold' very interesting.
This is nearing the end of the 34th reenactment of the Battle of Brooksville Florida, which took place 150 years ago.

January 1st is around the corner, along with an end to my daily posts, at least for now.
Dementia is so debilitating and Hubby needs more of my time.

Japanalia from Yokohama, Japan

Ah,well..it makes me wonder if fellows 150 years back looked so well fed (?!)

25 Mar 2014 12:35pm

@Japanalia: I doubt they had enough 'grub' to fill them up very often.
Hopefully some of these volunteers will lose some weight given their weekend activities!

Eric Cousineau from Sherwood Park, Canada

I am thinking that the rifles are held like that to relive the pressure on the elbow and arm so that they are able to shoot when the time comes! Well seen and captured Judy! Happy ST! ;-)))

@Eric Cousineau: Thanks, Eric, and your thought is well taken; I'll have to ask someone next year. ;D

OOPS!! Looks like he was caught at the wrong time while everyone else tries to remain at attention. Happy ST!

@Steven: You're right, Steven ... but even in character, if you head itches I guess you scratch. ;D
