January 1st is around the corner, along with an end to my daily posts, at least for now.
Dementia is so debilitating and Hubby needs more of my time.

You have found an excellent balance between the re-creation and the reality in this set. Sepia would have been 'convincing', perhaps, but I prefer what you are doing here.

@Ronnie 2¢: Thanks, Ronnie ... I went back and forth on which processing I'd use, but finally fell for my love of color. ;D

Alun from cheshire, United Kingdom

Japanalia from Yokohama, Japan

I thought this was a scene from a movie! What a great effect you managed here!

20 Mar 2014 12:20pm

@Japanalia: Appreciate that, Gabriela.

Eric Cousineau from Sherwood Park, Canada

From his body language I would say that the news is not good! Another cracking shot in this series Judy! ;-)

20 Mar 2014 12:32pm

@Eric Cousineau: Actually it was good news for his side that day. ;D

Mhelene from Villiers-sur-Marne, France

Don from Spokane, United States

Somehow this officer looks dejected. I wonder if this shot was the near the end of the event. This is also a good shot of the entire group.

20 Mar 2014 3:20pm

@Don: You're right; it was near the end of the event. Maybe he had a cold drink on his mind. ;D

Ruthiebear from Titusville, NJ, United States

I love the way you composed this, with the sad looking soldier to the front of the image.

20 Mar 2014 5:56pm

@Ruthiebear: Truth be told, Mike took this when I needed a 'potty stop'. ;D

franz from Baden, Austria

ttlcafe from Singapore, Singapore

Love that old vintage look,I wonder if being a courier was life threatening in that context!

21 Mar 2014 12:00am

@ttlcafe: Anyone in 'enemy' clothing was at risk, or anyone not dressed as you were.

Steven from Chicagoland, United States

Ronnie 2¢ from Atlantic Shores, United Kingdom

These images are so effective I keep forgetting it is a 'real' enactment and not just a visual reconstruction. (I think that makes sense!).

21 Mar 2014 11:52am

@Ronnie 2¢: Thanks for coming back again, Ronnie ... you're right; the reenactment is very well done.

RBL from Oxford, United States
