Doug from Burnham-on-Sea, United Kingdom

Beautifully captured, I'm sure the horse would like a go on the scooters

29 Oct 2013 7:48am

@Doug: Ha, ha ... um.......? ;D

Curly from South Shields, United Kingdom

The big wheeled scooter looks like it might be fun!

29 Oct 2013 9:05am

@Curly: Probably a man's rather than a younger person's.

Nigel from Avening, United Kingdom

Such a practical design - well captured

Japanalia from Yokohama, Japan

I wonder...WHO makes use of those scooters? I also wonder..if that horse is asleep or listening to the service inside?!

29 Oct 2013 10:11am

@Japanalia: I've seen mostly men or youngsters on them. It's faster than walking. Ha, ha ... I think the horse is napping. ;D

grouser from Ludlow, United Kingdom

What's so interesting through that window, that's what I want to know :) Nice framing

29 Oct 2013 10:44am

BiLL from Belfast, United Kingdom

I saw some people use those scooters and thought they were hard work.

29 Oct 2013 10:53am

@BiLL: Yes, it's hard pumping to keep them going, but it's faster than walking. ;D

Frances from Boston, United States

Superb shot Judy. The horse does not know what to make of the scooters. 5*

29 Oct 2013 11:53am

@Frances: Thanks, Frances.

Paleblue Photography from St. Catharines, Canada

Absolutely beautiful. I think this is my favorite of this series so far. Wonderful crisp clean details and lines.

29 Oct 2013 12:19pm

@Paleblue Photography: I'm glad you liked it, PP.

Eric Cousineau from Sherwood Park, Canada

The horse seems to be gathering it's strength for the day! A wonderful traditional Amish scene! Nicely captured Judy! ;-)

29 Oct 2013 12:28pm

@Eric Cousineau: Thanks, Eric.

Mhelene from Villiers-sur-Marne, France

Superb composition . Also with these " bicycles" you show us before .

29 Oct 2013 12:28pm

@Mhelene: Thanks ... those "bicycles" without pedals. ;D

Loner from Wörgl, Austria

A very nice image with a great compo ! Have a nice day, Judy !

29 Oct 2013 3:04pm

Rick from Toronto, Canada

A fine slice of life image.

29 Oct 2013 3:25pm

Don from Spokane, United States

That buggy looks like a modern model to me. It looks so solid and apparently protects the people very well. Nice shot.

29 Oct 2013 3:30pm

@Don: Sadly, as solid as it may look, it's not any match for a car or truck if hit. ;(

franz from Baden, Austria

wonderful still life from a strangely fascinating culture! i really love this side-by-side of the old and new, in the latter case, those intriguing scooters ... (another example of the ingenious handling of their "ordnung" ... ;-)

29 Oct 2013 4:24pm

@franz: Thank you, Franz ... but I'm not sure what you see as "new".

Graciel.la (Vic. Catalonia) from CAT. New European State, Poland

Excellent shot, with a very good composition . Have a nice day !

Ruthiebear from Titusville, NJ, United States

SPectacular image! I love not only the buggy, but also the scooter/bikes.

29 Oct 2013 5:45pm

@Ruthiebear: Thanks so much; I loved the combination too, when I spotted it. As you know, you have to grab images rapidly because you can't just stop in the road to compose shots. ;D

Mirjam from Kyiv, Ukraine

This is a lovely image.

Steven from Chicagoland, United States

Great capture of horse and carriage!! No oil changes or radiator leaks necessary. :-)

29 Oct 2013 6:36pm

@Steven: Ha, ha ... great comment, Steven ... how right you are! ✔

B. Thomas from Arlington, Texas, United States

Wheels…I think I'd rather take the buggy than self powered. ;-)

29 Oct 2013 10:51pm

@B. Thomas: It's probably less work. ;D

Denny Jump Photo from Easton, PA, United States

Looks like he is saying, "Oh No, Not ANOTHER fare" !! too cute :-)

29 Oct 2013 11:50pm

@Denny Jump Photo: I'm not sure, Denny; they seem so well cared for. ;D

RBL from Oxford, United States

How wonderful to see the scooters parked with the horse and buggy! Love this, Judy!

30 Oct 2013 12:49am

@RBL: Thanks, Ruthie ... and you know the 'territory'! ;D

L'angevine from Angers, France
