For those of you not familiar with Hershey Chocolate Kisses, look here.

Quote from the wrapper: "Every Hershey's™ product you've enjoyed has helped support children in need through Milton Hershey School."
More about this tomorrow.

Bruce from Tacoma, United States

I want some chocolate. :) Very nice photo.

@Bruce: Thanks, Bruce.

Ronnie 2¢ from Atlantic Shores, United Kingdom

So, are those cute streetlights sponsored by Hershey, then ?

13 Sep 2013 6:16am

@Ronnie 2¢: I don't know that they're sponsored, but they are a Hershey logo of sorts. The town of Hershey certainly benefits by being the home of Hershey chocolate.

Graciel.la (Vic. Catalonia) from CAT. New European State, Poland

A good photo collage. Lampposts different, interesting, fun. A good initiative.

13 Sep 2013 7:38am

@Graciel.la (Vic. Catalonia): Yes, the lamp posts are copies of the famous Hershey's Kiss, a foil-wrapped bit of milk chocolate.

Curly from South Shields, United Kingdom

When you open this page the first thing you see is the light at top left, and the first thing I though of when seeing it was "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory".
I was insanely right :-)

@Curly: Right you were, Curly!

Anthony Morgan Lambert from Bielefeld (Old West Wales Boy), Germany

Are the lights shaped like a choclate ? (don´t know hersheys kisses) Specialist sweet shops do stock Hershey bars sometimes though.

13 Sep 2013 10:36am

@Anthony Morgan Lambert: Yes, Ant ... the chocolate Kiss is a common Hershey staple in every grocery store around the US. Look here.

Eric Cousineau from Sherwood Park, Canada

A wonderful collage to commemorate this iconic brand! Well done Judy! ;-)

@Eric Cousineau: Thank you, Eric.

Gaffey Photography from Holbrook, Massachusetts, United States

Fabulous montage Judy! I love the street lamps and have heard about them from others who have visited. You are making me crave chocolate now :)

Frances

13 Sep 2013 12:54pm

@Gaffey Photography: Thanks, Frances. I remember taking our children there in the 70's, and the chocolate smell permeated the air all over town. Back this past May for our granddaughter's graduation from medical school, there are still wonderful smells in parts of town. Talk about craving chocolate! ;D

Loner from Wörgl, Austria

A very interesting collage !

Mhelene from Villiers-sur-Marne, France

Superb presentation !

Steven from Chicagoland, United States

A great collage highlighting this iconic brand and symbol!! Thank goodness they don't melt when the street lights get too warm! :-)

13 Sep 2013 2:21pm

@Steven: Thanks, Steven; you made a good point. I think they should exude the delicious smell of chocolate, don't you? ;D

Don from Spokane, United States

A fine composite for showing these unique street lamps. Nice one.

Jeff from Pembroke Dock, United Kingdom

Typical !!, We don't stick faggots on our lampposts . ;>))

13 Sep 2013 5:49pm

@Jeff: Oh, but you could, Jeff; they would be unique! ;D

Ruthiebear from Titusville, NJ, United States

Delicious image! Those kiss lights are adorable.

13 Sep 2013 7:41pm

@Ruthiebear: Thanks, Ruthie ... not too far for you to get to. ;D

CElliottUK from Reading, United Kingdom

Well, I've learnt something today

13 Sep 2013 9:33pm

@CElliottUK: Always willing to oblige. <grin>

Japanalia from Yokohama, Japan

To tell you the truth...I did not pay attention to Hershey's kisses until now...but your photo put ideas in my mind, so...I'll try them!
The lamps are fine and quite original!!!

14 Sep 2013 10:49am

@Japanalia: I really like the dark chocolate kisses the best, but sometimes all I can find are the milk chocolate ones. It's all about portion control, though. ;D

Abena from Illinois, United States

Mmmh, you've got to love Hershey's chocolates especially those kisses! It's great what they do with the money too. I love the cute little street here lined with them all over.

14 Sep 2013 2:52pm

@Abena: I agree; Milton Hershey was such a wonderful philanthropist!
