We were blessed to visit this gorgeous spot three different times during our stay.

It is high, and deep in the mountain above Hallstätt, where the Salzbergwerk Salt Mine is. Salt mining history here in Hallstatt goes back 7,000 years. Read and see more here. If you are interested, there is a 5.5 minute video of the tour down into the salt mine, a trip that Mike and I took and thoroughly enjoyed.


January 1st is around the corner, along with an end to my daily posts, at least for now.
Dementia is so debilitating and Hubby needs more of my time.

Stunning scale captured here when it is compared to the buildings at the base of the mountain along the water's edge!! Excellent textures in the mountainside as well with all of the evergreens!
