...or brewery-inn in Hallstatt, which is (or was at that time) owned by Reinhard's friend, Arnold (the yellow building). If I remember correctly, Reinhard had Arnold build him his harp.

January 1st is around the corner, along with an end to my daily posts, at least for now.
Dementia is so debilitating and Hubby needs more of my time.

It looks like the yellow building is the Mother and it gave birth to many other buildings around! They all look healthy, colourful and provided with decorating pots of flowers! A very nice, vacation-like atmosphere!

@Japanalia: Ha, ha ... I like that, "Mother" building. Quite appropriate!

@Loner: Dear Sonja, I did know of the storm and posted some news on it for today ... I just have added your link to my Sunday posting. Thank you.

B. Thomas from Arlington, Texas, United States

Oh, my. It's hard to believe the damage to this lovely city from the site Loner posted. Very interesting.

@B. Thomas: Thanks, I had forgotten to add a link so used it for Sunday's posting. According to reports, this is not the first, nor will it be the last time they sustain damage on the side of a mountain, but they are a resilient lot and will quickly rebuild.

Hi Judy, I like those outside terrasses to have a meal or coffee ...... and the houses with the traditional balconies and flower boxes. they are always lovingly cared for !!
