January 1st is around the corner, along with an end to my daily posts, at least for now.
Dementia is so debilitating and Hubby needs more of my time.

I love this wonderful white sand, from my one trip here the overriding memory I have is the sand being too hot to stand on in bare feet !

20 Feb 2013 7:14am

@Doug: There *are* times when the sand if very hot, but not in November, like in this shot. ;D

Nigel from Avening, United Kingdom

Yes that sand looks wonderful

Curly from South Shields, United Kingdom

Looks early in the day, before those white sands really heat up. I envy you :-)

20 Feb 2013 9:02am

@Curly: Actually it was 2:07 pm ... but in November it's not so hot. ;D

tyan from Singapore, Singapore

Perfect weather for baking in the sun and sand!:)

Rick from Toronto, Canada

A shot that makes me want to run across the sand and then out for a swim!

20 Feb 2013 1:47pm

@Rick: There were some in the water that day in late November ... probably Canadians if I had to guess. ;D

Kate from EXETER, United Kingdom

I need a holiday!!!

20 Feb 2013 2:26pm

@Kate: Come on over ... there's plenty of room at the beach! ;D

Viewfinder from Bradenton, FL, United States

Nice that all the white stuff doesn't need to be shoveled or plowed. Ahh, Florida.

20 Feb 2013 2:30pm

@Viewfinder: AMEN to that! ;D

Abena from Illinois, United States

Mmmm warm sand! I can almost feel it under my feet... We used to go on holidays and in the summer sometimes the sand got so hot that you wouldn't want to be walking on it at midday :) Beautiful image !

20 Feb 2013 2:39pm

@Abena: We've experience those "too hot" sands too, but moreso in NJ when at our daughter's than here. ;D

Not a bad view, towards the north :-)

Jeff from Pembroke Dock, United Kingdom

WE !! just want to walk into that beautiful blue sky and forget the cold and rain.....

20 Feb 2013 4:29pm

@Jeff: I keep trying to send you some blue sky, Jeff ... is it not getting there?

B. Thomas from Arlington, Texas, United States

Ah, the blue water and white sand. Lovely shot to see as we have some sleet today.

20 Feb 2013 5:46pm

@B. Thomas: Sleet? Eeks! ... but your blue water image today was breathtaking!

Ruthiebear from Titusville, NJ, United States

It looks so lovely. The blue sky, the white sand and I like the graphic of those metal poles. (Thanks for your suggestion. I will try that in future. Using a macro lens it is hard at times to judge the right distance to take the shot.)

20 Feb 2013 6:17pm

@Ruthiebear: Thanks Ruthie, for your comment ... those poles and lines are for a trampoline jumping ride. Kids bounce very high while harnessed in. ... I left you a note re: your macro lens. *smile*

Eric Cousineau from Sherwood Park, Canada

Beautifully framed against the blue sky Judy! It seems strangely empty! ;-)

20 Feb 2013 7:39pm

@Eric Cousineau: Looking south that same afternoon, there were people. ;D

Carol from Leamington, Canada

A lovely capture, it looks very inviting Judy... and no one else around, now that's peace and quiet, for sure! :) The white sand reminds me of snow... oh my, that's not good.. is it! :))

20 Feb 2013 8:29pm

@Carol: thanks, Carol ... and as I just told another, looking south in a shot I posted earlier, there were beach goers.
Hey ... this is our Florida 'snow' ... we don't have to shovel it! ;D

Sharon Pleasants from Monroe, Louisiana, United States

Beautiful beach scene!

21 Feb 2013 12:06am

@Sharon Pleasants: Thank you, Sharon.

It looks great for November! I love that sugar white sand.

Japanalia from Yokohama, Japan

You are really lucky to have these long, unendless beaches of white sand. As I understood from previous shots you've posted, you can even find your own "retreat" on the beach....not necessarily share it with the crowds! And what a day for November!!!

27 Feb 2013 8:29am

@Japanalia: Yes, the beaches in Florida are truly lovely. Not all of them are as "endless" as this one is, but one can normally find a spot that is fairly open ... year 'round.
