Sittin' on a fence post...

Posted by
Judy aka L@dybug (Brooksville, FL, United States) on 15 February 2013 in Animal & Insect and Portfolio. little friend came to visit, but wouldn't hold still...

A small speckled visitor
Wearing a crimson cape.
Brighter than a cherry
Smaller than a grape.

A polka-dotted someone
Walking on my wall.
A black-hooded lady
In a scarlet shawl.

January 1st is around the corner, along with an end to my daily posts, at least for now.
Dementia is so debilitating and Hubby needs more of my time.

How nicely the top of the post resembles the shape of this lady bug.

15 Feb 2013 7:10am

@Lai Chan See: I saw that too, after I got the image onto the computer.

How beautiful.I haven't seen a real ladybug many times.just once or twice and am really fascinated by it.I am imagining it popped by to say hi to a lover of ladybugs!:)

Slackwater - Don from Spokane, United States

A fine very close up of this little visitor. It's fun to see up close to things that are generally overlooked.

@Slackwater - Don: I agree, it's fun to see things up close. ;D

Carol from Leamington, Canada

A lovely composition Judy, I like the bokeh .... it's very soft and pretty. Of course little Miss Ladybug is the centre of attraction! She's cool! I also like how the light hits that post in places and how it shows a bit of reflection from little miss bug too! Very nice indeed! :)

15 Feb 2013 11:23pm

@Carol: Thank you, Carol ... it's a wonder I even got anything. I don't see many ladybugs around her and I was so excited. She didn't stay long, either ... but there's one more shot in the queue. ;D
