January 1st is around the corner, along with an end to my daily posts, at least for now.
Dementia is so debilitating and Hubby needs more of my time.

Curly from South Shields, United Kingdom

Fine composing with the sun well off centre, so glad you weren't tempted to aim straight at it.

13 Jan 2013 9:50am

@Curly: Thanks, Curly ... don't you just cringe when it's dead center? ;D

CElliottUK from Reading, United Kingdom

Cool compo, and colours

13 Jan 2013 12:10pm

franz from Baden, Austria

beautiful compo, with the palm tree diagonal and - as curly said - the sun very much NOT in the centre! wonderful colours as well ... they might indeed tempt me to come to florida in winter one day ... (when i was there, it was summer, and much too hot and humid for me ... ;-)

13 Jan 2013 6:20pm

@franz: Thank you so much, Franz. I too, liked eh diagonal and the one lamplight at the apex, opposite the sun. ... When we were in Austria in July/Aug for a month in 1998, it was hot and humid also. <grin>

Abena from Illinois, United States

I can't believe you guys still get to swim this time of year!..beautiful soft pastel colors in the sky and the shadows are excellent. Sunday blessing to you! :))

13 Jan 2013 7:53pm

@Abena: Unless an unusual cold front drops down from your neck of the woods, we can swim most of the year. Visiting Canadians swim, even if we Floridians do not. ;D

Sue-Ann from Quebec, Canada

this is very nice, makes me looking to go to the deluxe resort next to my desert with palm trees...

13 Jan 2013 8:02pm

@Sue-Ann: I am sure you are so anxious to get to the desert! ;D

Ruthiebear from Titusville, NJ, United States

The light and colors are gorgeous and I also really like the shape of those trees. Lovely image.

13 Jan 2013 8:33pm

@Ruthiebear: Thanks, Ruthie ... palms are an interesting tree form ... and the sound they make when the wind whistles through them is magical.

Basile Pesso from France

Excellent capture, with a very good addition of this element on the ground.

Basile Pesso from France

And I think the right word is "adjonction".

13 Jan 2013 11:18pm

@Basile Pesso: The only translation I can find is "addition" ... so I am not sure what you are saying.

J.R. from Urasoe City, Japan

Nice, love those "dead center shots" as well LOL! Make Curly mad, he he
Really it is a beautiful shot.

13 Jan 2013 11:51pm

@J.R.: Ha, ha ... dead center ... eh? It takes most of us a while to learn that our subject should be off-center, right? ;D

Basile Pesso from France

@Judy : about the term "addition", I thought it meant "addition of an element", but finally I wondered if it only meant "bill", so I chose "adjonction" which is a synonymous and means "something added".

14 Jan 2013 12:34am

@Basile Pesso: Thank you, Basile, for your additional information. Sometimes translations are difficult.
