House of Blues 'n Cirque du Soleil...

Posted by
Judy aka L@dybug (Brooksville, FL, United States) on 29 September 2011 in Documentary & Street and Portfolio.

...taken from the balloon as we touched down. At $200/ticket for a performance at the House of Blues, and $150-200/per ticket for a Cirque du Soleil show, I am happy to have seen this view from the balloon. It might have been overpriced, but nothing by comparison!

January 1st is around the corner, along with an end to my daily posts, at least for now.
Dementia is so debilitating and Hubby needs more of my time.

Denny Jump Photo from Easton, PA, United States

"The things we do for love"...Very cool shot, Judy - I hope the musical set was good...HoB usually has some great local and national groups sp it probably was...Love this shot!!

@Denny Jump Photo: Oh, Denny ... we didn't go to either show, not at $300-400 for the two of us!!! Twenty years on a fixed income and all expenses rising prohibits that kind of thing. ;(

B. Thomas from Arlington, Texas, United States

Wow, they are pretty $$$. Glad you got to go up for some photos.

29 Sep 2011 3:15pm

@B. Thomas: Agreed re: pricing ... I'm glad Mike urged me to go up and see things from above. ;D

Jen from Alpharetta, United States

Wow...that is pretty pricey glad you got a better view from above!

29 Sep 2011 4:07pm

@Jen: Thanks, Jen ... me too!

Denny Jump Photo from Easton, PA, United States

Tell me about it - I hear ya, kiddo....fixed income and rising expenses is for sure..

29 Sep 2011 6:52pm

@Denny Jump Photo: "Kiddo" ha, ha ... we're glad we did things when we could!

franz from Baden, Austria

these are stiff prices for sure! now that the euro is down again, i'd think twice about buying a ticket for either attraction ... i think i'll have the crabs instead anyway ... ;-))

29 Sep 2011 6:57pm

@franz: I'd like the crabs too ... but will choose to go back to Raglan Road instead. ;D

Jim from Fort Worth, United States

So much is getting overpriced these days but not the views. Nice capture.

29 Sep 2011 7:28pm

@Jim: Thank you, Jim ... I couldn't agree more!

Sandy Weston from Maine, United States

I agree with franz.....maybe that price for two people but come on!! Talk about sucking the tourists dry! I like the contrast between those two structures! :)

29 Sep 2011 8:53pm

@Sandy Weston: Walt Disney would die all over again, if he could see what has happened to his family-friendly attraction. ;(

Dokmateo from Madrid, Spain

Cool processing...nice tones. Well presented.

Eric Cousineau from Sherwood Park, Canada

A beautifully composed shot Judy! Yes, the prices at Disney are definitely outrageous! ;-)

29 Sep 2011 11:11pm

@Eric Cousineau: I'm sure you've gotten a chance to see it yourself. We bought 3-day FL resident passes to go to Epcot for their 'food & wine' event in a couple of weeks, for the first time in ten years, spending it on tickets rather than airfare of gasoline. ;D

Viewfinder from Bradenton, FL, United States

Are they that much? Wow, I'm glad they're not charging us just to look. Haha.

30 Sep 2011 12:32am

@Viewfinder: Yes, Glenn ... some of the events are priced to complete with Vegas!

Ralph Jones from Detroit, United States

Nice!
