Forrest Gump: No, but I've been on a real big boat."

January 1st is around the corner, along with an end to my daily posts, at least for now.
Dementia is so debilitating and Hubby needs more of my time.

Eric Cousineau from Sherwood Park, Canada

A wonderfully cluttered shot Judy! Reality as only Disney can present it! Nicely captured! ;-)

17 Sep 2011 12:31pm

@Eric Cousineau: Yes, cluttered is right ... Planet Hollywood 'stuff' in the background. ;(

tyan from Singapore, Singapore

@tyan: Me too! ;D

Twojays from South Central Montana, United States

Ditto me above. I see Forest Gump once every couple years, and as I grow older and wiser...(I hope I do) it becomes more meaningful, not to mention just entertaining for the piece of art and acting excellence it is. This is an interesting frame with all the structure behind. The famous boat looks neglected.

17 Sep 2011 1:47pm

@Twojays: Planet Hollywood structure rather clutters the boat shots. ;(

Viewfinder from Bradenton, FL, United States

I haven't been to Disney or watched Forrest Gump in a few years. Nostalgic in both cases, I may have to go and watch. Your pic has triggered that in me. Haha.

@Viewfinder: The entrance fees for the Disney attractions are obscene IMO ... going to Downtown Disney was fun, with no entrance fee, and it had been many years since we'd ventured over there.

beautifully captured! i loved the movie... is has so much to say to us: slow down, strive for simplicity, be awake. it is a modern american parable so needed in our times. when does our culture ever give these values any attention? hurray for your contribution to a thoughtful day :)
