Raising a new one...

Posted by
Judy aka L@dybug (Brooksville, FL, United States) on 30 May 2011 in Documentary & Street and Portfolio.

A shot from the archives, but appropriate for Memorial Day, 2011.
Not a self-portrait, but a portrait of my beloved husband being his patriotic self!
Remember all those who gave the ultimate sacrifice for the freedoms we enjoy every day. We pray for the safety for our current troops and their families as well.

DSLR-A100 1/320 second F/5.6 ISO 160 100 mm

January 1st is around the corner, along with an end to my daily posts, at least for now.
Dementia is so debilitating and Hubby needs more of my time.

Ralph Jones from Detroit, United States

Oh I just remembered your husband is one of my 'heroes', please thank him and tell him that I really appreciate and admire his courage and commitment to help others by putting himself in harms way.

1 Jun 2011 12:30am

@Ralph Jones: Thank you, Ralph, from both Mike and myself. We lived in a small city, so didn't have some of the horrendous fires that you see. Mike also spent many years w/the rescue squad - a different type of harm's way. Your appreciation is touching! (Vic, Catalonia) from Vic (Catalonia), Poland

I understand perfectly what you tell me. I know how important it is for you your flag. I have it in my heart.

1 Jun 2011 1:52pm (Vic, Catalonia): Thank you,
