The victory line...

SONY DSLR-A100 1/250 second F/4.5 ISO 250 112 mm (35mm equiv.)

January 1st is around the corner, along with an end to my daily posts, at least for now.
Dementia is so debilitating and Hubby needs more of my time.

Eric Cousineau from Sherwood Park, Canada

Somehow the thrill of victory does not produce a winning smile; but rather the grim reality of staying alive to fight another day! Very nicely captured Judy! ;-)

@Eric Cousineau: You're right, Eric ... the reality was tough! Thanks for your words.

Barbara from Florida, United States

These could very well be the faces of those who fought the actual battle.
Other than color nothing separates the era they are so authentic. I like the one young fellow looking directly at you.

@Barbara: Thanks, Barb, and actually I was probably 100' away from him, but he was definitely looking into the crowd of spectators.

Curly from South Shields, United Kingdom

Someone doesn't look too pleased to be with the winners :-)

Ralph Jones from Detroit, United States

Wow that's a serious gaze.
