January 1st is around the corner, along with an end to my daily posts, at least for now.
Dementia is so debilitating and Hubby needs more of my time.

@Suzanne Apgar: Thank you, Suzanne.

Franz from Baden, Austria

a charming scene, particularly with the nice light and the pretty mossy trees in the BG!

2 Feb 2011 3:53pm

@Franz: Thanks a lot.

Monterey John from Carmel, CA, United States

Old friend of mine, a dyed in the wool East Tennessee unionist, used to say, "We lost the war, we had to take them back." :)

L'explorateur from Vancouver, Canada

The Lady with the rifle on the far left is the best. :) Great picture. The actors are very serious.

2 Feb 2011 5:55pm

@L'explorateur: Sorry to disappoint you, but the fellow in the blue sweater behind her is the one holding the rifle. Yes, they are very serious when playing their part.

Jeff from Pembroke Dock, Wales., United Kingdom

Whats that Union soldier doing wandering through a rebel camp,them good old boys blind or summat.

2 Feb 2011 6:20pm

@Jeff: Taking a shortcut to get some grub, I guess! ;D

Wild Mustang Photography from Carlisle, Massachusetts, United States

Love these shots! I hope Tim sees this! Very cool composition, Judy! I love the moss on the trees. My mom is from Mississippi, and still fighting the civil war with my dad from New England!!!!

2 Feb 2011 7:58pm

@Wild Mustang Photography: Thanks, Pam ... and yes, Tim did come to 'visit. Boy, you've had your share of 'wars' well after the fact! ;D

Tim from Ft. Worth, United States

i see it!! awesome color and background. great candid. there's so much to document when you go to these events!

2 Feb 2011 11:43pm

@Tim: Yes, there is so much to see and to capture ... Mike was relegated to his chair near the battlefield as his new hip wasn't ready for all the uneven ground, so my time was a bit rushed in the camps. My back also isn't up to standing for hours and hours. ;(

Ralph Jones from Detroit, United States

Nice in panorama. There's so much going on in this.

3 Feb 2011 12:18am

@Ralph Jones: Thanks, Ralph!

B. Thomas from Arlington, Texas, United States

I'm glad Tim saw these. I was going to mention it to him if he didn't show up with a comment - especially since school is closed for the second day. ;-) This must be a photographer's dream.
