A Baklava Happy Birthday!

Posted by
Judy aka L@dybug (Brooksville, FL, United States) on 18 November 2009 in Food & Cuisine and Portfolio.

... to our 'sweet as honey' Eleftheria and to our much loved grandson, Quinlin, who both turn eleven today!

I doubt Quinlin has ever tasted baklava, but trust that our young Greek photographer most assuredly has! ♥

January 1st is around the corner, along with an end to my daily posts, at least for now.
Dementia is so debilitating and Hubby needs more of my time.

Ooh, congratulations to both of birthday heroes! I am sure, that Quinlin will some day eat baklavas, which Eleftheria gives to im in Greece:))
Happy day also to grandmother!

18 Nov 2009 6:53am

@Leena: That would be wonderful if he could get to Greece ... in our memory. ♥

Marion from Nanaimo, BC, Canada

Looks delicious. I've had it. How do these young ones keep getting so much bigger. A milestone to celebrate. It is also my brother-in-law's birthday and my one of my niece's husband's birthday. If Quinlin grows up to be half the man that Richard is, then he will be an awesome person.

18 Nov 2009 7:33am

@Marion: I pray that Q will be just what you suggested; we talked w/him on the phone to set up a date for Homosassa State Park. It's not set yet.

Magda from Vancouver, Canada

Happy Birthday to both!!! Those treats look so yummy... I'm drooling! I might get myself something sweet even though it's almost midnight! ;)

I start salivating only by looking at it!!! Ahhhhh! I remember the days when........I hope Quinlin is going to enjoy it and remember his 11th anniversary when his Nana made such a scrumptious cake just for him!

@Japanalia: Thanks, Gabriela ... but Nans didn't provide this desert for Quinlin ... it was a photo from a Greek restaurant.
