8-hour tour by bus...

Posted by Judy aka L@dybug (Brooksville, FL, United States) on 10 July 2009 in Transportation and Portfolio.

The Denali Park bus tour takes you into the depths of the park. Here you see the bus that was traveling behind ours. In the second shot you can see a bus rounding the corner in the vast wilderness of Denali National Park, adding scale to the image.

January 1st is around the corner, along with an end to my daily posts, at least for now.
Dementia is so debilitating and Hubby needs more of my time.

Leena from Joensuu, Finland

It is those roads, where you are hoping, that no many cars meet your car :) ( Sorry my language, but I hope, you understand, what I am trying to say )
Landscapes are huge!

10 Jul 2009 5:57am

@Leena: I understood what you wrote ... and the road was *just* wide enough for two buses to pass!
The vast openness is so beautiful.

Marie-Hélène Ammor from Casablanca/Paris, Morocco

Great idea to frame in one these two beautiful photos ,so we see your road and the landscape !

10 Jul 2009 9:09am

@Marie-Hélène Ammor: Thank you, Marie. These 10-yr-old shots are low-resolution and not good for full-size images, so combining them works.

Evi from Athens, Greece

Happy birthday to Mike!!!!!

I don't know that my stomach could handle that trip. Well captured.

10 Jul 2009 12:18pm

@jeff (aka dogilicious): It was a slow and easy ride ... so much to take in; you'd do fine, I'm sure.

Susan from Fort Lauderdale, FL, United States

Lambspun from Madison, Maine, United States

Huh? How'd I get the Afghanistan hooked on to my name? OK.....figured that one out...how embarrasing...wonder how long that one was chasing me around ....lol

10 Jul 2009 3:20pm

@Lambspun: Sometimes the 'home city' jumps off the map somehow - but I don't know why.

MJ from Delaware, United States

Betty from New Jersey, United States

That must have been some ride, Judy! Fantastic scenery.

10 Jul 2009 6:15pm

Barbara from Florida, United States

Certainly not a road to be talking, texting and driving at the same time. ; )
Definitely a white knuckle right from hanging on tight. It seems that the earth could easily crumble.

(yesterday was Wish #1) Wish #2, Happy Birthday Mike! I hope it is a day filled with happiness for both of you.

10 Jul 2009 8:34pm

@Barbara: Oh my word ... talking was fine and our driver did a grand job of that, but it's a '2 hands on the wheel' drive - no texting! It wasn't the white knuckle ride it looks like in the photos ... the views were spectacular.

Thanks for the double birthday wishes!

tyan from Singapore, Singapore
