AT the DMV...

Posted by Judy aka L@dybug (Brooksville, FL, United States) on 13 June 2012 in Transportation and Portfolio.

...this is a follow-up to yesterday's post.
We ran into my car's new owners as they were getting their new tag (license plate) and we were turning in mine.
Their two little girls were already in the back seat.

How great to see the new owners are really grooving on your car! - Will you have to change your name now?!

13 Jun 2012 9:05am

@CElliottUK: Ha, ha ... I've been Ladybug for nearly 53 years, the car was just a bonus for the last ten. ;D

Joyce from Montana, United States

Very good point, CElliot makes! What a fun car to own, perfect now for this young family. I wonder if I could paint daises on my white suburu. I am going to consider seriously. I love daisys.

@Joyce: I figured it was MY car and I could decorate it if I wanted to. In my case, they were heavy vinyl spots put in with a heat gun. I imagine daisies (which I love too), would have to be painted on. Have fun! As they say, this is not a dress rehearsal.

Denny Jump Photo from Easton, PA, United States

Is that not cute! They look VERY happy and i ams ure they are getting a VERY well maintained car as much as I know you loved it! It's nice to know your little LadyBug is goiong to a good home :-) This is TOOOO Cute :-)

@Denny Jump Photo: Thanks, Denny ... and that is just how I/we feel also. They got a good deal because with a standard transmission, she probably has another 150K miles in her!

Susan Rose from Georgia, United States

This photo is very appealing. The people are cute and also very happy.
Thanks for "watching me." : )

Superb capture of the moment . Judy was not "Ladybug" because of the car but she owned this car because she loves ladybugs !!:-)

13 Jun 2012 1:24pm

@Mhelene: Thank you so much for your sweet comment. I've been "Ladybug" for almost 53 years and the car I only had for the last ten. I imagine I'll remain Ladybug for the rest of my years. ;D

It's good to see that the new owners already LOVE their car! I think this gives YOU a good feeling!

17 Jun 2012 8:05am

@Japanalia: Yes, they love it, and it DOES give me a good feeling. I had hoped someone would come along and want her decorated the way she was ... and that is exactly what happened. <Big smile>
