St. George Island...

Posted by Judy aka L@dybug (Brooksville, FL, United States) on 7 May 2010 in People & Portrait and Portfolio.

...and Mike is posing for me.
While natural, dried seaweed is strewn on the beach, we pray areas like this don't become spoiled by oil.

@Mhelene: Thank you, Marie ... it was a gorgeous day!

Lorraine from Gatineau, Canada

Ocean, handsome man and camera, if there were a coffee, I'd say I've seen heaven ;) Well done my dear lol

@Lorraine: I'm not sure why he had my camera, unless I was taking a little video with our little one. :D

Eric Cousineau from Sherwood Park, Canada

LOL...Good to see you bring your smiling sherpa along to carry your gear on you photo trips! Let's pray that the damage will be contained and that life can get back to normal shortly. ;-)

@Eric Cousineau: Big grin ... I obviously took this w/our little camera after he took one of me. :D
Thanks - we're watching to see what will happen w/the oil spill.

tyan from Singapore, Singapore

i use to go to beaches and return with black oily feet that I have difficulty cleaning. Uncle Mike looks happy and healthy here. Hello Uncle Mike!:)

7 May 2010 4:15pm

@tyan: Only once in my life did I encounter oil on the beach when I was a very young girl (like 68 years ago), during WWII. My mother could never get the oil out of the old, wool, scratchy, Army blanket. I think I have a photo of it somewhere. :D
Mike says, "Hi!"

Viewfinder from Bradenton, FL, United States

I think I've been here - it's quite near Apalachicola, right? A beautiful beach place. A really nice photo of Mike doing his "beach tourist thing."

7 May 2010 5:25pm

@Viewfinder: You're right; you drive out the causeway and there's miles upon miles of beaches. Mike had just taken my photo so I 'shot' him with the little camera. :D

SOUL AFLAME from The bosom of Mother Nature, United Kingdom

Is that a large dragon fly to the left of the shot, or a helicopter! ha ha
Nice shot Judy, but you need to grab that camera back off Mike, the cheeky blighter. I hope you are right about the seaweed as mankind manages to wreak havoc on Mother Earth once again.

7 May 2010 7:15pm

@SOUL AFLAME: Well you got us thinking; I went back to the original image and it is a gull ... surprise! ... Mike had taken a photo of me (yet to be posted), so I 'shot' him with the little camera, and then got mine back! :D ... Mankind isn't always very kind - period!

Carol from United States

oh, I love this shot...............Hi Mike........miss you guys.......when I get back from Nicaragua, we WILL get together.

7 May 2010 7:29pm

@Carol: Thanks, Carol ... we MUST get together, but in this heat, we'll have to find some air-conditioned spot! :D

john4jack from Corvallis, Oregon, United States

One artist capturing another artist!!

7 May 2010 7:52pm

@john4jack: You're right ... his shot is yet to be posted! :D

Barbara from Florida, United States

Cheerful and happy times on a beautiful beach. Can this scene be repeated?
Great to see Mike and with your camera. If suits him. ;D

8 May 2010 5:19am

@Barbara: He doesn't 'play' w/the camera often, but when he does, he's always amazed at what a team they are. :D

Sandy Weston from Madison, Maine, United States

Pristine and natural beach.....hope it stays unscathed from the spill! George looks great :)

I believe, as you might well know by now, that Mike is...a big friendly smile...from head to toes!

11 May 2010 5:13am

@Japanalia: After all these years together, I can't disagree with you. xx
