Michael Skorulski from Cigel, Slovakia

Great composition, Judy. The sea is so beautiful.

4 Nov 2009 11:32am

@Michael Skorulski: This is far different from the Georgia many people think of; it was delightful.

Viewfinder from Bradenton, FL, United States

Beautiful. Somehow I never imagined a place like this existing in Georgia until I saw it myself. This is one fine image, Judy. So inviting a place, if this picture is any measure of those things.

4 Nov 2009 11:41am

@Viewfinder: Thank you so much, Glenn ... and I agree, it isn't what most think of.
So many of our states are varied beyond their iconic images.

Japanalia from Yokohama, Japan

I'd love to spend some time here with Yoshiyuki.....just watching the ocean! Wonderful location and you're presenting it from a great angle!

4 Nov 2009 11:41am

@Japanalia: You would love it in cooler weather, but it was way too HOT to stay there for very long.
It was 110°F (43.33°C) so we didn't stay after taking a few photos.

MJ from Delaware, United States

i can see that majestic building among the greens,so did you take romantic evening or morning strolls with Uncle Mike?:)

4 Nov 2009 1:36pm

@tyan: It was really way too hot, so we took short forays out to the beach and then retreated to the air-conditioning.

Jeff from Pembroke Dock, Wales., United Kingdom

Looks good enough to swim in,a few lengths up and down that beach would set you up a treat for the day ahead.

4 Nov 2009 3:16pm

@Jeff: Swimming would have been the only way to cool down in the terrible heat! :D

Chris from South Jersey, United States

beautiful spot - I need to get back to the beach......

4 Nov 2009 3:31pm

@Chris: I imagine 'your' beach will be cooler. :D

Neat. I love the rock breakwater. The islands off of Georgia, SC and NC are wonderful.

4 Nov 2009 5:07pm

@john4jack: Thanks, Jack, and you're right; it's gorgeous along the coastline.

Mhélène from Paris, France

Very beautiful !

Marion from Nanaimo, BC, Canada

A beautiful view, it looks like such a peaceful place to be. The water is very quiet. Is this a protected spot?

4 Nov 2009 6:14pm

@Marion: It's not a protected spot. Google St Simons Island, GA ... and you'll see it's exposed to the Atlantic Ocean.

Lambspun from Madison, Maine, United States

4 Nov 2009 8:44pm
