@Mhélène: Thank you so much, Marie.

Betty from Phillipsburg, United States

A fantastic shot, especially with the people giving the lighthouse scale!

2 Nov 2009 10:41am

@Betty: Thanks, Betty, for both your comments on the lighthouse.

Michael Skorulski from Cigel, Slovakia

The palm trees seem to mimic the lighthouse. A very good image, Judy.

Lorraine from Gatineau, Canada

Even more beautiful with these trees, lovely compo Judy :)

Viewfinder from Bradenton, FL, United States

Somebody's up there having a great time looking out over the coastal marsh and beaches. Nice composition, Judy. Can't wait to see more of your Georgia jaunt.

2 Nov 2009 1:25pm

@Viewfinder: Thanks, Glenn, for both of your comments on this lighthouse. If it hadn't been so horiffically hot, I might have captured more images, but 'real feel' of 110° was a bit more than we 'oldies' could manage for very long.

Eric Cousineau from Sherwood Park, Canada

Beautifully framed and composed Judy! Bravo! ;-)

Very nice Judy, I hope they have a telescope up there!

Jeff from Pembroke Dock, Wales., United Kingdom

Well balanced shot Judy nicely done,I cant help thinking that lighthouse would make a better Helter Skelter than the one in the foreground. ;>)

Marion from Nanaimo, BC, Canada

What a great composition . Did you climb to the top? Not many of the lighthouses on the West Coast afford you the ability to go outside on a viewing deck. What a thrill that must be. Beautiful spot.

2 Nov 2009 9:51pm

@Marion: We did NOT climb to the top. The 'real feal temperature' that day was 110°F ... so the only place to be was in the shade or inside!

Lambspun from Madison, Maine, United States

Is that you up top there Judy? ;) Very beautiful composition...having the photo shot from the water makes this shot so awesome. You captured so much that way. I love this shot :)

2 Nov 2009 11:41pm

@Lambspun: Thanks, Sandy ... for both of your comments on this lighthouse.

hesam from quchan, Iran

Japanalia from Yokohama, Japan

For a moment...I thought YOU were up there!!!! (I wouldn't...of course!)

3 Nov 2009 7:58am

@Japanalia: It would have been fun to go to the top, but it was WAY TOO HOT - 110°F ( 43.33°C ).

Barbara from Florida, United States

At first I thought it may be Mike up there but with those temps it would be a grueling climb up.
Nice scene and composition. I always enjoy lighthouses.
