About to board...

Posted by Judy (Brooksville, Florida, United States) on 28 June 2009 in People & Portrait and Portfolio.

Obviously a commercial photo, but what a wonderful memory with our dear friends, Marjie & Miles, with whom we spent a wonderful six weeks in Alaska. It was on Marjie's daughter's property where we made 'camp' while up there.
We four met in for the first time in Calistoga, California, in the early part of our five-month trip and we remain close friends today, ten years later!

Thank you so much for visiting my blog; your comments are greatly appreciated. I apologize for not getting to all of your posts. I will visit as time permits.

My first thought was, it looks like a shot from a mini series. I mean that in a humorous way. This certainly is a memorable image. What fun to meet with friends along the way in your journey and remain friends all of these years.
Interesting name for a cruise boat.

@Barbara: Thanks, Barb ... and as our 'year' comes quickly to an end, I find these old photos more and more meaningful. It's been fun to share them, but I also ache to get out for new experiences!

Wow....50 years? Really impressive! Working on 20 with my second marriage....amazing. So many stories go into pictures don't they? That's why we cherish them the most.

28 Jun 2009 8:43pm

@Lambspun: As impossible as it seems, the fifty years have flown by like a flash! We're grateful for our photos, and think of those who have lost their photos in fires, floods, hurricanes, etc.; at least they still have their memories.
