Silly Tuesday in Stockenboi, Austria

Posted by Judy (Brooksville, Florida, United States) on 9 June 2009 in People & Portrait and Portfolio.

We stopped to see a friend of Reinhards, Friedbert Kerschbaumer, a renowned pan floutist. He was a joy and a pleasure to meet.
Care to feed his donkey?
He gave us an outdoor 'concert' that 'blew us away'. He may be 'funny' to look at, but what a magnificent musician he is.

Thank you so much for visiting my blog; your comments are greatly appreciated. I apologize for not getting to all of your posts. I will visit as time permits.

Well the beard is funny to look at but he looks like a lovely chap. Well you certainly outdid me in your walk. I am so proud of you. I bet you are one tired lady. Ray said WOW, 20 years ago with the surgery you had you would still be in hospital. Incredible strides in technology. Incredible.

9 Jun 2009 5:12am

@Marion: He really was a wonderful fellow and soooo talented.
You wouldn't want to walk in this weather; it was 84 as the sun set tonight, so out we went, but came back drenched.
Susan flew out but was delayed by bad weather. She should have been home at 6 - now it's going to be after 9:00. Charlie's sitting at the airport waiting and I call him with updates. Poor thing, she'll be so glad to get home.

Wow Judy....what great memories! I am so glad to hear you are feeling good and even managed to go for a walk!! God is good!! :)

9 Jun 2009 6:30am

@Mandy Provan: Thanks, Mandy ... the walks are difficult in our hot and very muggy air, but I'm doing it twice a day!

A happy cheerful fellow. I can see the music must have been lively and cheerful.
Even with that it is a fitting image for Silly Tuesday. I wonder if his donkey likes his music.
Like Marion said technology has come a long way, the Robotic procedure is an amazing option. I hope today you feel even better.

9 Jun 2009 9:40am

@Barbara: Thanks, Barb, for this and other comments while I was in the hospital.
We just came in from another HOT, steamy walk, but every little bit helps, and every day I feel some better!

You "sound" great, Judy. Am so glad you're getting up and about, even if the air is thick and muggy. Moving around is good medicine. I know you miss Susan already. Our son and his wife were here over the weekend and left yesterday for their home in metro Atlanta. We miss them, too. Keep up the good work, m'lady!

10 Jun 2009 2:19am

@Viewfinder: Dear Glenn, I'm catching up on older, meaningful comments. Thank you for your continued prayers and my recovery is coming along very well - never as quickly as we mere mortals would like, tho'. :D
Mike and I are reading the book, "The Shack" and find it very thought-provoking; have you read it?

Magda from Vancouver, Canada
