Alp off Salzburg-Dolomiten

Posted by Judy (Brooksville, Florida, United States) on 7 June 2009 in People & Portrait and Portfolio.

We spent an astounding day at a farewell party after our month-long stay in Austria, at an Alm high in the Alps, joining musical friends of our hostess. We ate, sang, visited and thoroughly enjoyed the phenomenal scenery. As you can tell from this photo, we were way up there, with the Dolomites of southern Austria and northern Italy in the background.

Thank you so much for visiting my blog; your comments are greatly appreciated. I apologize for not getting to all of your posts. I will visit as time permits.

Hang on to Philippians 4:13; it's true. That does not mean that you will get physically well; Christ does not promise that. But he does promise that he will be there with you every step of the way. Much love and God's peace.

@john4jack: Thank you, Jack ... we do, we do! No matter what we face, we're NOT alone; what a blessing it is to know that! xx

Whew! You're home AND ON THE COMPUTER! I was thinking of you all day today, Judy. Concerned not knowing how you are doing. Knowing you are home and hopefully asleep right now and lounging, resting and relaxing in the morning
I must say this is a priceless image and valuable memory. I can't help but think of the Sound of Music.
Remember to rest, AM3 and the world will still be online. Glad you are home!

I hope you continue to feel well, especially now that you can sleep in your own bed. Take it easy and try not to do too much too soon. Curl up with a good book!

So happy you are home and the surgery went well. You sound wonderful, can't believe you are on the computer already... but very glad you are updating us. You are in my prayers for pathology.

7 Jun 2009 12:43pm

@Betty: Thanks, Betty ... the great thing about the computer is that I can sit here for two minutes - or twenty, whatever feels okay. The path. report is the next hurdle, but it will be okay however it goes; I just feel it!

Susan from Fort Lauderdale, FL, United States

Great shot, and so glad you're comfortably at home!! I'm having ultra good thoughts regarding the lab work.....

You're home! Hallelujah! That is the best news ever! Now you need to get lots of rest and continue to get 100% better. Will be praying about that pathology. I'm opting for the 20% one. Love the picture. You look like a milk maid. Did you milk the cow when you finished having your picture taken?? ;>)) She looks quite ready for it. What a glorious memory Judy. I bet you made that dress too. Thank Susan for keeping us up to date. That was such a blessing.

7 Jun 2009 5:00pm

@Marion: Thanks, Marion ... I'm getting some replies out - and deleting lots (not enough stamina).
No, I didn't milk the cow, but Susan, Grete's friend had spent every summer up there at the Alm for 30 years and she milked morning and night. I didn't make the dress, but found it on sale w/Grete's help.

So glad you're home! That was fast! I love the photo -- always love your Sunday photos. We never have our picture taken but we should, I suppose, no matter how fat and ugly we think we are. Thanks for having Susan keep us updated. I'm praying you'll fall in the 20%.

8 Jun 2009 2:04am

@Bookfool: Thank you so much ... and go get someone to take your picture. I'm happy now, that I didn't stop having photos taken as the weight piled on. I thought I was getting heavy at 50 ... HA! That was nothing! :D
Oh well, as they say, this isn't a dress rehearsal ... we have to LIVE!

Krisu from Tampere, Finland

Nice to hear you're home and well I hope. You'd make a perfect Heidi ;)
