At The Tombs in Washington, D.C., waiting for The Chimes to sing. One of our favorites was their rendition of "Loch Lomond", which you can hear on their website (lower right).

Thank you so much for visiting my blog; your comments are greatly appreciated. I apologize for not getting to all of your posts. I will visit as time permits.

I know you must be feeling a bit nervous now as things are only a week away. Everytime I think of my flight I think of you and when I'm in the sky thousands of miles in the air I will send out positive vibes and a prayer:-)

26 May 2009 8:04am

@Linerberry: I know, not really silly-enough, but still a funny shot of Charlie. :D
I have this vision in my head that as I'm going into surgery I'm going to think of you high in the sky winging your way 'homeward' ... happy thoughts are healthy ones! xx

and the heart doesn't work on the mainframe either, maybe Canadian and American keyboards differ, maybe it's a 'u' in ours... (you know neighbour, neighbor, colour, color) sigh

26 May 2009 11:13am

@Lorraine: Thanks, Lorraine; no matter how hard we tried, we couldn't 'make' those luscious brown eyes! :D
Sorry about the keyboard shortcuts and maybe you're right ... honor, honour, but love is the same! xx

Dad sure looks sillier!!! And what's up with the pickle??? And I'll bet it was great fun seeing The Chimes.....what a weekend you had!!!

26 May 2009 3:52pm

@Susan: We were sitting in a booth and they were standing opposite us at the bar eating as there wasn't room for all. Bridget was eating a pickle off her plate and Dad is always the sillier. The Chimes were WONDERFUL! :D
