THANK YOU, George!

Posted by Judy (Brooksville, Florida, United States) on 17 May 2009 in People & Portrait and Portfolio.

First we had to climb onto this camel in Giza and then wobble around as he 'unbent' his knees and jostled to his feet. Phew!
He ambled around the area of the pyramids and before getting off, the Egyptian owner asked if we wanted him to use our camera to take a photo. We declined as we'd been alerted that sometimes they use that as a ploy and tourists have had to 'buy their camera back'. Yikes. Our friend George came along again, at the most appropriate time, and snapped this shot of us!

Thank you so much for visiting my blog; your comments are greatly appreciated. I apologize for not getting to all of your posts. I will visit as time permits.

I'm smiling at the woman with the surgical mask in the background; you two look like you're having a ball.

@Viewfinder: We had a grand time, and weren't affected by the blowing sand as that woman with the mask was.

George to the rescue!:) Yes some merchants even take a picture, frame it nicely and shove it into your hands, giving tourists little choice but to buy.Must be really determined and firm to turn them down, and have friends like George!:)
