Lady Lily & Friend

2 Cor: 6-8 - That's why we live with such good cheer. You won't see us drooping our heads or dragging our feet! Cramped conditions here don't get us down. They only remind us of the spacious living conditions ahead. It's what we trust in but don't yet see that keeps us going. Do you suppose a few ruts in the road or rocks in the path are going to stop us? When the time comes, we'll be plenty ready to exchange exile for homecoming.

Thank you so much for visiting my blog; your comments are greatly appreciated. I apologize for not getting to all of your posts. I will visit as time permits.

So pure and beautiful. A lovely capture Judy. I love pictures of them and seeing them from a distance. Major headache if I get too close to one, so thanks for sharing this virtual beauty with us.

8 May 2009 6:05am

@Marion: I'd never heard of anyone being allergic to lilies until this year. I so love the smell of them that I brought home a huge bouquet of Stargazers left after a memorial service at church that were going to be tossed into the trash. They're in the living room now and so beautiful. xx

Magda from Vancouver, Canada

Wow! The clarity is amazing! They are so shiny and perfect! The light is beautiful too! I REALLY love this - I think one of my favourites from this series although I love the macro shots too! :)

8 May 2009 6:25am

@Magda: Thank you, Magda ... I love it too, but I also like the one for Saturday. ♥

Viewfinder from Bradenton, FL, United States

First or Second Corinthians? Heh. Either way, you've chosen a very good verse to go with this wonderful capture of Easter lilies in all their bloomin' glory! Amen, m'lady!

8 May 2009 12:06pm

@Viewfinder: I did add a comment beneath yours ... it is Second Corinthians for sure. ♥

Judy from Brooksville, Florida, United States

Dear Glenn ... thank you, it's Second Corinthians ... how did I miss the number?

Bookfool from Mississippi, United States

I think this one's my favorite. Sometimes I get weary of extreme macro shots of flowers and just like seeing the full view. This one is absolutely perfect.

8 May 2009 5:17pm

@Bookfool: Thank you so much ... variety is the way to go. ♥

Barbara from Florida, United States

Prayers for you Dear Judy. Let's hope the word probably turns into the word misdiagnosed or some minor non-benign tissue that can be easily removed.
I find your image and verse very fitting for what you are going through.

9 May 2009 1:14am

@Barbara: Thank you so much, Barb. I'd like to hear those words also. We won't know until June 3rd, but we can pray for that.
I'm glad you enjoyed the image and associated verse; we really are in a good place of peace tonight. ♥

Scott Schilling from San Martin, United States

Dear Judy, another beautiful image!! Wonderful composition and color! Please take good care! We will keep you in our prayers! I am hoping for the best and that you come through with flying colors - if your stuck in the hospital make sure you have a laptop and your camera and internet access! Keep up the great work and keep positive!

9 May 2009 4:40am

@Scott Schilling: Dear Scott, thank you for your wonderful comment.
You were the first to read (and comment) on my late night text I'd added re: my condition. Thank you for your prayers; they mean so much. If I get stuck in the hospital I'll be up the creek w/o the proverbial paddle as I have no laptop, but I might have Mike bring me my little, trusty Canon SD850 IS. :D
Staying positive is the name of the game!!! Blessings!
