Scott Schilling from San Martin, United StatesWow Judy - that is some beautiful morning light! Wonderful image with great tones and I like the focus point on this! 1 May 2009 8:31am @Scott Schilling: Thank you very much, Scott. Linerberry from Sumner, Christchurch, New ZealandWonderful light!! Nicely captured!!! 1 May 2009 9:19am Betty from New Jersey, United StatesStunning morning light, Judy! Beautiful details, very well done. 1 May 2009 12:08pm @Betty: Thanks, Betty - appreciated words! Barbara from Florida, United StatesSo cheerful an image with this sunlit lilly, I would get up (with a smile) just for this. 1 May 2009 1:01pm @Barbara: I have a collage of this year's lily shots on my desktop at the church ... it's a cheerful image to begin my days there, and a sweet memorial for David, for whom they were purchased. PS: We're going on a Sunline Cruise tonight! Laura from Birmingham, United Kingdomstunning delicate light on such a beautiful flower 1 May 2009 1:36pm Marie-Hélène Ammor from Casablanca/Paris, MoroccoMarvellous !! This is very beautiful ! 1 May 2009 1:48pm Lorraine from Gatineau, CanadaIndeed, perfect greeting, your world is so lovely :) 1 May 2009 1:57pm @Lorraine: Thank you ... ♥ tyan from Singapore, SingaporeWOW.You have lilies on the porch! If i see lilies like these here,it is at the florist:) And i love the scent too!:) 1 May 2009 2:08pm @tyan: Ha, ha ... they were sitting outside on the screen-in porch after we brought them home from church on Easter Sunday. Now the flowers are gone and we'll plant them in the yard, hoping that next year they'll burst forth with new growth. In our drought conditions, I'm not sure if they will survive. ... I too, love their scent, but find many do not, or have allergic reactions to it. tyan from Singapore, Singaporehaha about the stroller, you are right, the cheapest stuff are from China, what i meant was,the Maclaren stroller made-in-US was considered branded here, but we couldnt find any other brands that produced twin strollers. It was still steep for us,$400 plus, but it was the cheapest we could find:) 1 May 2009 2:10pm @tyan: I see what you meant ... but your $400 coverts to $279 US, and that's still STEEP. vu@granby - Wolfgang from Granby, Québec, CanadaLovely indeed! I had one with the same title last year, also from my front porch, but not the same flowers! ;-) 1 May 2009 3:56pm @vu@granby - Wolfgang: This is funny ... I found yours of 24 April before i saw your 15 May, both with the same title. :D Viewfinder from Bradenton, FL, United StatesSo pretty. We planted a couple of these from Easter '08 and they came up and were getting ready to bloom. But then our lawn service came with the weed-eater and hacked the bigger one to pieces. I can't prove it, but I don't think it could have been accidental since it was inside the clear boundary of a garden bed. Careless, maybe. Or passive aggressive? Who knows. But at least the other one is still getting ready to bloom. 1 May 2009 5:25pm @Viewfinder: Ohhhhhhhh, Glenn ... how awful ... not fair! Who knows what 'lurks' in the mind behind the weed-eater! :( Chris from South Jersey, United Stateswow Judy - that light is magical. A wonderful shot, I really like the focus on this one and the white color really pops..... 1 May 2009 5:27pm @Chris: Thank you, Chris ... Easter lilies will forever remind us now of David, as he died the night before our early Easter of '08. Thankfully, we're able to look at their beauty and smile with our memories of David. Susan from Fort Lauderdale, FL, United StatesJudy, this is just a beautiful shot.....the composition and focus point make this a real work of art!! 1 May 2009 7:44pm @Susan: Thank you very much, Susan. Magda from Vancouver, CanadaGood morning to you too! What a nice image this is! Great detail and light! Well done 1 May 2009 8:29pm @Magda: Thanks, Sweetie! Bookfool from Mississippi, United StatesWhat a nice way to start the day, enjoying great lighting on a beautiful flower! So pretty! 1 May 2009 9:34pm @Bookfool: You'll appreciate that these lilies were used for Easter Sunday at church, and then we brought the plants we'd purchased in David's and our parents' memory, home. Seeing their sunny, smiling faces was a blessing each morning as long as they lasted. Now they're going into the ground. @observing: Thank you very much, Mike. Japanalia from Yokohama, JapanSublime, both bloom and light kissing it so tenderly! 2 May 2009 9:58am @Japanalia: Thank you, Gabriela ... they were in David's memory, so your lovely words are beautiful to my 'ears'. |
