Bill Jennings from Los Altos (Bay Area Northern Calif), United States

So close in age. And we thought we had it hard, with 11 months difference between Olivia and Will. I know you had many sleepless nights. Well done as a parent.

24 Apr 2009 5:41am

@Bill Jennings: Oh, Bill ... these are two of our granddaughters from two different households. <grin>
Eleven months apart in your household is a totally different situation. Blessings to you and your wife!

Magda from Vancouver, Canada

Wow! So much difference in height! Both beautiful girl. Such fun photo. What a wonderful childhood they have...

24 Apr 2009 7:58am

@Magda: It will be interesting to see how they mature; both our boys were tall; Kayla's daddy was nearly 6'4" and her mommy's tall too.

Linerberry from Sumner, Christchurch, New Zealand

@Eleftheria: Thank you, Eleftheria, and I hope you read my reply on the Ladybug candy ... "I want one!" :D

Fliss from Melbourne Beach, United States

They don't look 10 months apart...
Such a happy moment...

24 Apr 2009 12:30pm

@Fliss: Kayla's daddy was nearly 6'4" so I expect she'll be the taller one.

Viewfinder from Bradenton, FL, United States

So close in age - these two will be friends always. Plus they are definitely favoring a certain grandmother in terms of good looks... ;-)

24 Apr 2009 12:37pm

@Viewfinder: It's just so sad that they live 1,800+ miles apart! :(

john4jack from Corvallis, Oregon, United States

Dynamite. Do your grandkid cousins have as much fun as ours do??

24 Apr 2009 2:19pm

@john4jack: They do, but living 1800+ miles apart, it's far too infrequently they get the chance! :(

Le Photoneur from PEPINSTER, Belgium

very nice shot

EYES WIDE SHUT from The library of my soul, United Kingdom

Oh the days of chlorine soaked eyes in the local Lido's, it feels like just yesterday. Neat shot, Judy

24 Apr 2009 3:50pm

@EYES WIDE SHUT: Thanks, Paul.

Lorraine from Gatineau, Canada

Love this again, your family is a photographer's dream lol bravo for this sweetie :)

24 Apr 2009 4:04pm

@Lorraine: I couldn't get enough of them, as you can see! :D

Bookfool from Mississippi, United States

I love pool shots. It's hard to believe they're so close in age!

24 Apr 2009 5:36pm

@Bookfool: ... and I hope you saw they're not in the same family. :D

Susan from Fort Lauderdale, FL, United States

Cute kids..glad to have read they're from 2 different families, or would have thought one of them had a growth hormone problem!!! They look like they're great friends!

24 Apr 2009 5:46pm

@Susan: They 'met' last year for the first time, following Kayla's daddy's death, but have spoken on the phone during the year and this year took up right where they'd left off when Kayla flew back to CO in Apr. '08.

LAE from Chesterton, United States

Having Fun, nice shot !

24 Apr 2009 8:06pm

@LAE: Thank you so much.

john4jack from Corvallis, Oregon, United States

Fiona lives about 1.5 hrs. from Calvin and 4.5 hrs. from her other cousins. Calvin and the Seattle cousins are 3 hrs. apart. They are very fortunate; it's kind of like the way that I grew up.

24 Apr 2009 10:24pm

@john4jack: Lucky, lucky cousins to have fairly easy access to each others' families.
We raised our three less than four miles from two cousins, whose parents were too busy with their little unit to share or be involved with cousins. As teens, our kids pursued their cousins and are today, fairly close.

Barbara from Florida, United States

You can see they enjoyed this time together. Colorful and happy.
I like the timing how you captured the water on Fiona's hand. Like sticky glue.
Memories to smile about.

25 Apr 2009 3:51am

@Barbara: They certainly had fun ... and about her hand, I'd rather have had two faces, but she moved like lightening! :D
