I like diamonds ... might steal hers!

Posted by Judy (Brooksville, Florida, United States) on 1 April 2009 in Animal & Insect and Portfolio.

Taken during a previous trip, but fitting in this series, and this NOT an April Fool shot!

Thank you so much for visiting my blog; your comments are greatly appreciated. I apologize for not getting to all of your posts. I will visit as time permits.

Scott Schilling from San Martin, United States

I could adjust to them and maybe feel comfortable with them if they would just stay that size! great close up Judy!

@Scott Schilling: Me too, Scott ... the park is a wonderful place for education.

1 Apr 2009 11:14am

@Lorraine: I'm racing off to work, but had to laugh at your comment.
I'm the one who 'fixed' her 'battered' polish; you should see the 'before' image! <grin>

Susan from Fort Lauderdale, FL, United States

How bizarre that we both have the babies out here on the same day!! Great minds must think alike!!! Nice shot you got too!!

@Susan: It must be interesting to see just how those 'prehistoric' moms & pops create their little ones.

Marie-Hélène Ammor from Casablanca/Paris, Morocco

Barbara from Florida, United States

In touch with nature.... Literally! I love it. Did anyone tell Susan that gators are very attracted to red? It triggers their hunger senses and they will snap at the color.
(April Fools!)
I must say it is a great experience and image you captured here. This shows interesting details of a young gator.
One other thing, that is not April Fools. Often I have thoughts of images I would like to capture, my subconscience list. As I woke this morning I was actually imagining a small alligator being held by someone else while I snapped images at different angles. (True Story) Well I think one of us has ESP.

1 Apr 2009 1:55pm

@Barbara: I like your 'title' for it too. (You'd have laughed seeing me 'touch up' her polish!)
Thanks, Barb.

Chris from South Jersey, United States

nice capture - I think even though he is small that all those teeth could do some damage....

1 Apr 2009 4:40pm

@Chris: Yes, their little teeth are like daggers!

xavier cardell from menorca-barcelona, Spain

Nice capture! The photo I mean, well the alligator too.

@Magda: Thanks, Magda; he was a cutie, but . . . :D

Japanalia from Yokohama, Japan

This is a really special capture! Wow! The contrast between the manicured fingers and the pulsating body of the baby alligator is unique!!! This one would be good in a magazine dedicated to friendship between humans and animals OR how to marry the two worlds for the benefit of both!

11 Apr 2009 8:34am

@Japanalia: Thank you ... this was from a previous visit with Susan, Quinlin & Fiona, but it so fit this series.
I appreciate your comment. xx
