Family shopping...

Posted by Judy (Brooksville, Florida, United States) on 18 March 2009 in People & Portrait and Portfolio.

We stopped at Publix for a few special requests after picking our local 'grands' up at their schoolbus stop.

PS: I thank everyone who commented over the long weekend while we were more than BUSY with the 'crew' you see here, plus our daughter and eldest granddaughter (whose college decal sits on the rear window of our van - Georgetown). Thanks, Susan, for taking the photo!

Thank you so much for visiting my blog; your comments are greatly appreciated. I apologize for not getting to all of your posts. I will visit as time permits.

@Linerberry: Thank you so much. We hadn't been together since last April for David's memorial service, so this was a wonderful (and difficult) reunion. xx

Judy, a great happy family and beautiful grandchildren - keep up the great work!

@Scott Schilling: Under the circumstances, Scott, this was a bittersweet reunion.
Our middle child/son died a tragic and sudden death on 3/22/08. This visit was planned by our daughter (our eldest of three), who wanted his young daughter to reconnect with our side of her family.

john4jack from Corvallis, United States

Outstanding! What would we do without our grandkids??

19 Mar 2009 10:54pm

@john4jack: I do not know, Jack ... they are our life!

john4jack from Corvallis, United States

Judy, I think that I mentioned before that we left paradise (Sequim - mountains, river, salt water, islands) to be close to our grandchildren. One of the best decisions, and certainly the best move, that we have ever made.

19 Mar 2009 11:53pm

@john4jack: Thanks, Jack, and yes, you told me you'd lived in Sequim. Our grandchildren are in three different locations. one in CO, two right here near us in FL and the eldest in college in DC. No easy way to get near to all of them, and who knows where Bridget will end up after this, her last year of college.
