Japanalia from Yokohama, Japan

Really??? Ohhh! Must be a great feeling! I'll try it next time with the gulls in Yokohama bay! ( I must say I did share an icecream once with a pigeon! I was eating the icecream and IT was eating the cone!)

12 Jan 2009 11:39am

@Japanalia: We had only a few crackers and Mike broke them into pieces; you saw the results. We've shared ice cream with Belle, but not w/pigeons. :D

tyan from Singapore, Singapore

how are you feeling?Hope you are better..sorry i have been really irregular these days..its been very hectic.YOu know,at first i thought this was some sort of painting/mega photo and the hand just stretch out to give the impression it was feeding a fake bird.Then wow!These are such amazing captures!

ps i'll be afraid of the brid pecking off my fingers though!:)

12 Jan 2009 12:22pm

@tyan: I am feeling much, much better, Ty ... and went back to work today.
No, it's not a painting but a real, live bird ... and one more collage tomorrow.
Mike sat very still and the birds kept coming to eat the few crackers we had.

Barbara from Florida, United States

A cheerful image. Impressive light and color, it has sort of a surreal effect. Like the gull and hand in the foreground are real but the background is a prop of a scene. Excellent presentation, Judy.
One great thing about feeding the gulls they let you keep your fingers.

12 Jan 2009 1:38pm

@Barbara: That's right ... they don't want 'finger' food. :D
Thanks, Barb.

EYES WIDE SHUT from The library of my soul, United Kingdom

Superb photographs, Judy. The fella in the first shot almost seems like a toy, amazing capture mid air. Utterly wonderful

12 Jan 2009 2:51pm

@EYES WIDE SHUT: Thank you so much for your generous words. I should write a story about them, shouldn't I! :D

PD from Overland Park, Kansas, United States

Lorraine from Gatineau, Canada

Oh My GOD! Fabulous Judy, wow ten stars and then some!!
and ps there is a certain way at AM3?? 'cause chronologically speaking I'm all over the place...sometimes my winter shots are from 5 years ago, sometimes yesterday...rarely chronological at all! and darn it if I want to post hot summer photo when I'm freezing I bloody well will do so lol

12 Jan 2009 3:59pm

@Lorraine: You're kind, Lorraine - thank you.
I think you're right - summer shots when you're freezing sounds smart! :D

Fliss from Melbourne Beach, United States

It is like 'The Birds'.... have food and they flock all around you and if you aren't careful... they will take you away...

12 Jan 2009 10:00pm

@Fliss: Naw............the gulls don't like fingers. :D
