Regaining my balance...

Posted by Judy (Brooksville, Florida, United States) on 7 January 2009 in Animal & Insect and Portfolio.

This hawk was spotted trying to rest atop our flagpole. It kept slipping but it did not give up. I was lucky to catch a couple of shots.

Thank you so much for visiting my blog; your comments are greatly appreciated. I apologize for not getting to all of your posts. I will visit as time permits.

Michael Skorulski from Cigel, Slovakia

And what a fine balance this image shows. Perhaps your camera unnerved him. Excellent, Judy.

7 Jan 2009 12:34pm

@Michael Skorulski: I don't know if the camera unnerved him, but I was hesitant to go 'round front of him, sure it would send him on his way!

@Observing: We don't see too many hawks, but occasionally they appear. They may be after smaller birds, baby squirrels or rabbits.
