In the daytime...

Happy Hannukah to all our Jewish friends.

As we prepare for Christmas, and Dimitrios' challenge, this is a precursor...

Thank you so much for visiting my blog; your comments are greatly appreciated. I apologize for not getting to all of your posts. I will visit as time permits.

Your tree is so beautiful in full view.

@Barbara: Thank you, Barb!

Marion from Nanaimo, BC, Canada

Your tree looks really good in full light. Love Mike's icicles. I can see your Hummels on the book shelf behind. Your bookshelf looks a tad like mine. Books, hummels, pictures and little keepsakes. We had another 12 inches today and it is beginning to warm up so the snow is falling from the trees. Thud, thud. Fingers still crossed that we don't lose our power.

22 Dec 2008 5:31am

@Marion: I think we've shared about our bookcases before ... can't be just books, right? :D
Let's hope the snow isn't trying to reach the treetops! Egads, you've had so much already!
I remember that sound, "Thud, thud...", in the silence!

Claus Petersen from herfølge, Denmark

Now this is a little over decorated for my taste, but it still looks quite nice here!

22 Dec 2008 8:30am

@Claus Petersen: Yes, I understand; I've seen Danish trees with very few decorations on them.
I think you'd like ours better in a night shot.

Lorraine from Gatineau, Canada

Wow Judy I felt like a child slowly strolling down the tree and looking at the adorable decorations, it's such a homy shot, with photos on the mantel, the way a Home should be

22 Dec 2008 12:43pm

@Lorraine: Thank you, Lorraine ... we like "homey"! :D

Chris from South Jersey, United States

wow - that tree is packed! Any more ornaments and it would be crushed under the weight!! ;-)
very nice shot of a wonderful tree - it sure does light up the room!!!

22 Dec 2008 1:17pm

@Chris: ... and not all the ornaments were used! <grin> Somehow in photos, where each picks up the light, it looks fuller than to the naked eye. :D

JJ from Jersey City, United States

WOW your tree is so beautiful, I have taken shots of trees around the city here and not one of our own tree lOL

22 Dec 2008 2:23pm

@JJ: Thank you, JJ ... and I know of a tree in Fair Haven, NJ, that is equally "beautiful" ... at our daughter's home! :D

Jen from Alpharetta, United States

Great looking tree!
Filled with so many memories I am sure!

22 Dec 2008 2:38pm

@Jen: Thanks, Jen ... yes, most of them bring back memories!

22 Dec 2008 3:39pm

@tyan: In looking closer, I know I made three of them. :D

Bookfool from Mississippi, United States

Lovely! I couldn't help zoning in on the shelves, though. I'm hopeless in that way. I love your Hummel figurines and the sculptures at the top of the shelves. Merry Christmas!

22 Dec 2008 6:09pm

@Bookfool: I'm smiling and not at all surprised ... I still have a photo of the books for you, which I'll post at some point.

Michael Skorulski from Cigel, Slovakia
