New Ladybug

Posted by Judy (Brooksville, Florida, United States) on 19 December 2008 in Miscellaneous and Portfolio.

In our eclectic mixture, this is far from antique, but special because it came from a dear friend. She's a cheerful reminder of the value of friendship in our lives, and of Mike's calling me his Ladybug for nearly 50 years.

Thank you so much for visiting my blog; your comments are greatly appreciated. I apologize for not getting to all of your posts. I will visit as time permits.

She is rather cheeky looking and very cute. Your tree must be real fun to walk around and find all the treasures there. On another subject, I wish we had a link to Dimitrios's page.

@Marion: Hee, hee ... I added the link you want to your comment! :D

Yes, the treasures have been the same for the last five years or so. We've not added any new ones lately, but instead are relishing the older ones. Some will go our grandchildren when the time is right. ♥

How sweet of your hubby. I think she is darling. She makes me smile and it's late and anything that can bring a smile at this hour is truly amazing.

An amazing piece for your collection, not only Christmas tree ornaments but your ladybug collection. This ladybug angel is adorable. It gave me a big smile to see. A great find and gift from a dear friend.

@Barbara: She offers me a big smile too, when I look at her. She hangs on our working antique wall phone mouthpiece during the rest of the year. :D

That's fabulous, what a terrific ornament that cannot fail to put a smile on everyone's face. You are so right about the importance of friendship, and often things such as this awesome Ladybug angel are a great illustration of, and testament to such friendship.

@EYESWIDESHUT: Thank you so much; I truly appreciate your comment on both the ornament and on friendship. Like marriage, friendship takes work and loyalty!
