I love the ornament with the harp. Very unique. Oh I just noticed the one behind that too with the tiny diamond mirror. Very nice, Judy.

15 Dec 2008 6:03am

@Barbara: The ornament with the harp is also from Austria; our friend, Reinhard, played his harp for us one evening and it was so beautiful. His parents were musicians who traveled all over the world, so his is a very interesting family. I can almost hear him playing when I see that ornament. The old one with the diamond mirrors is pretty as it moves and catches the lights. ... Thanks, Barb.

Bookfool from Mississippi, United States

We're just getting started on our tree. Glass icicles . . . so, so pretty. Where did they come from? I've only seen plastic.

15 Dec 2008 8:51pm

@Bookfool: Thank you, Caroline ... we bought our first ones in Vermont, then later ones online from various catalogs.
None of them are made of plastic. ;D

dj.tigersprout from San Bruno, CA, United States

what a lovely shot this is -- warm and comfy! and simply beautiful ornaments! this reminds me that one of my favorite places in northern Norway was this glass blowing store / warehouse, where you could watch them making the dish-ware and ornaments right there on location!! it was also coincidentally the warmest place by far -- and a place you could warm up quickly!! :P

16 Dec 2008 2:25am

@dj.tigersprout: Oh, I hope you bought something to bring home ... thanks so much for your comment.

PD from Overland Park, Kansas, United States

Really nice photo of the ornaments... these are hard to take good shots of. Good job!

16 Dec 2008 3:38am

@PD: Thank you, and I agree, it was a challenge as the light changes constantly - the sensors must have to a little dance! :D
