Jeff from Pembroke Dock, United Kingdom

i am enjoying this series, and there's got to be a story about the sock.."Can't wait to hear it"

10 Dec 2008 6:53am

@Jeff: The story's too large to fit in the sock, Jeff ... and neither of us could wear it, either! :D

How are things in Germany? Do you have snow?

Krisu from Tampere, Finland

The sock looks very soft and nice, perfect for the tree? ;)

Michael Skorulski from Cigel, Slovakia

That sock must have really significance, Judy. Such a quaint and lovely image.

10 Dec 2008 11:53am

@Michael Skorulski: It's basically a reminder of the soul of a child for me ... and Jesus in particular!

Viewfinder from Bradenton, United States

Very pretty beside the stocking. As I look at parts of your tree, I am reminded of how we decorate our own tree. Ecclectic and meaningful, a mix of the old and the new.

I will be in prayer for your Belle and for the antibiotics to help her get better.

10 Dec 2008 1:50pm

@Viewfinder: Thanks a lot ... we love the mixture of old and new also; we've never had a 'theme tree' other than our own personal items forming their own theme. :D

Thank you for remembering Belle; her health is truly a concern, which I know you understand.

Barbara from Florida, United States

Something we don't see here in Florida, icicles but it has been cold enough for some warm knitted socks. I have had Belle in my prayers and thoughts.

10 Dec 2008 2:59pm

@Barbara: I hope to try some non-flash shots to see if I can get the icicles to look more natural.
Thanks for your prayers for Belle ... they mean a lot.

Lorraine from Gatineau, Canada

Oh isn't it gorgeous, I love the knitted stocking as well, very homy and Christmasy ;)

10 Dec 2008 3:43pm

@Lorraine: Thank you, Lorraine!

Marion from Nanaimo, BC, Canada

'cause the flash washes it out. Pretty little icicle and the sock is so soft and pretty too. Thinking and praying for little Belle today. ♥♥

10 Dec 2008 3:43pm

@Marion: As I wrote to Barb, I'm hoping to take some new shots of the icicles when the light is right.
Thank you for your prayers for Belle ... she truly needs them. ♥♥

Betty from New Jersey, United States

I just love handmade ornaments! Can you shorten the story?

10 Dec 2008 3:54pm

@Betty: Sure, Betty ... as I wrote to Michael, "It's basically a reminder of the soul of a child for me ... and Jesus in particular!" That one and the cloth Angel were bought at the same time and usually hold a place of 'honor' on our tree.

Alun Lambert from cheshire, United Kingdom

very nice
