Happy Birthday a day early...

Posted by Judy (Brooksville, Florida, United States) on 22 November 2008 in People & Portrait and Portfolio.

Dearest Susan, here you are as you look today ... a beautiful, grown woman ... whom we are blessed to call our daughter. We are proud of you as a wife, mother and yes, our 'favorite' daughter!

PS: I've had a few inquiries re: my kidney surgery early in June and realize that as I updated things, the earlier info was 'lost'. To recap: surgery went very well and the tumor was 'strange' but benign, thank God. I'm now back to work and feeling fine! ♥

Each Sunday since September 08, I've posted photos taken during this, our 50th year of marriage.
There are also a few other trip photos tossed in for good measure.

Philippians 4:13 - "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. " ... <*)))><

Jeff from Pembroke Dock, United Kingdom

Best wishes Susan...Don't let your Mam eat to much cake. ;>)

22 Nov 2008 1:11pm

@Jeff: Today would be 'cake day' but she's 1,100 miles away - guess we don't get any!
Her husband invited two of her best friends from her childhood to spend the weekend with them. One is an attorney in Wisconsin and her twin sister a teacher from Rhode Island. They all, plus others, went to a concert last night. I'm sure they had a wonderful time.

Viewfinder from Bradenton, United States

Her two age 23 portraits were lovely, and since then it is obvious that Susan hasn't lost a beat. She is still gorgeous, and I am sure with parents like you she must be a wonderful person to know as a friend. Happy Birthday Susan!

@Viewfinder: I suppose Mike & I can take a 'little' credit from when she was young, but she's been a leader and a tall order to follow for many, many years! Thanks, VF.

PD from Overland Park, Kansas, United States

Happy Birthday to Susan. She doesnt look much different today than in yesterday's potrait!!

22 Nov 2008 1:57pm

@PD: Oh, you'll flatter her, as yesterday's photo was taken at less than half her current age! ;D

Barbara from Florida, United States

Happy Birthday, Susan. Enjoy your special day.
A striking portrait, very photogenic.

@Barbara: Thanks, Barb ... I didn't get here yesterday as were spent time with a Canadian cousin and her hubby, visiting from Toronto. They expected a week in the sun and warmth ... opps, sun, but little of the latter.

Eleftheria! from Athens, Greece

Happy birthday from me!

@Eleftheria!: Thank you, Eleftheria! (This will be you in 38 years!)

tyan from Singapore, Singapore

She looks like a fusion of you and Mike!Wow,still as pretty as ever, thats my aim when i reach her age!:) HAPPY BIRTHDAY SUSAN!

22 Nov 2008 3:22pm

@tyan: Oh, I like that ... "a fusion" ... but of course that is really what she is, isn't she. Her daughter is in college, so all those young child concerns are behind her, however, once a mother, always a mother! :D

Lorraine from Gatineau, Canada

She is blessed indeed to have parents like you guys, and her beauty, intact, is also in her eyes. Happy Birthday Susan x and one for your mom x

22 Nov 2008 4:29pm

@Lorraine: We are truly blessed to have HER! Thank you, Lorraine!
