Busy mowing...Posted by Judy (Brooksville, Florida, United States) on 19 November 2008 in People & Portrait and Portfolio. He didn't want to 'pose' but I snatched a few shots as he was busy mowing the front yard for Grandpa. His hair was growing in following a head-shaving so he could look like his Daddy, who is balding. :D ---~--- Philippians 4:13 'We can do all things through Christ who strengthens us.' ... <*}}}>< Your comments are so appreciated and I apologize for not having time to get to all of your posts.

Marie-Hélène Ammor from Casablanca/Paris, MoroccoSuperb portrait natural, in action ! 19 Nov 2008 10:17am @Marie-Hélène Ammor: Thank you, Marie ... he's growing so quickly! ;D Chris from South Jersey, United Statesget them working early, right!?!? Nice shots of a boy hard at work..... 19 Nov 2008 12:12pm @Chris: Thanks, Chris ... he'll do most anything for his Grandpa! ;D Fliss from Melbourne Beach, United StatesDoes he need some extra $$$ - I can fire my lawn guy and he can do mine... 19 Nov 2008 12:39pm @Fliss: Cute comment ... and he's a wonderful grandson! Viewfinder from Bradenton, United StatesGreat series, Judy. Quinlin reminds me of our son at the same general age. I have a question: are you finding your Am3 posting to be frustratingly slow? I post comments, I try to navigate to different sites, and slow, slow, slow... I've got a new computer and am wondering if it's Am3 or the computer. So I'm curious if you or others are noticing anything yesterday and today especially. 19 Nov 2008 1:04pm @Viewfinder: Thank you for your comment, VF. As for your frustration - I've had times when AM3 was agonizingly slow - weekends especially, but I was so busy in the church office yesterday and today, I've not had much chance to even check in. Early this morning( 6:30-7:00) it wasn't bad and now it seems fine (6:00pm). Sorry I can't help more on this. tyan from Singapore, Singaporei think its very nice of him to help mow the lawn.I came from a family where only women do the work. Can be very frustrating.I would like my boys to be as involved in housework as possible:) 19 Nov 2008 2:05pm @tyan: Ty, your comment is very interesting. I came from a family where males did the man's work, females did the housework. Mike, on the other hand, the only boy with three sisters, was raised to do his share in the household with no differentiation between man's or women's work. He's made a wonderful husband because he doesn't flinch at washing dishes, doing laundry, etc., if he's at home and I'm at work. Our policy over our 49+ years of marriage has been that each of us does 100% ... it's a win-win situation! xx @Lorraine: Thanks, Lorraine. Barbara from Florida, United StatesLook at all of the helpful and wonderful tasks that one can do when they are 10. That is so nice to help grandpa out. Nice shot for the memory book Judy. 19 Nov 2008 3:47pm @Barbara: Thanks, Barb ... none of the shots was a 'winner' alone, but together, they seemed to display his efforts! Jeff from Pembroke Dock, United KingdomOh dear, por lad..Get a goat..Nice Family album piccies though. ;>) 19 Nov 2008 4:23pm @Jeff: Your humor is at work again ... and since when did it hurt a "poor lad" to do a lick of work??? <grin> Observing from West Cheshire, United KingdomLook's like he's enjoying that chore, it's the only way they learn...!! Lovely shot. 19 Nov 2008 11:44pm @Observing: Thanks, Mike ... and for your comment on the slow speed lately on AM3 ... I'll send a comment. Observing from West Cheshire, United KingdomBTW... regarding AM3 speed, yes it is very slow, has been for 2 weeks, it even 'Times-out' on occasions. I sent a report to Admin, but maybe more people should as they probably don't know about it. 19 Nov 2008 11:47pm @Rags: Thanks, Rags ... and yes, he is! |
