My 2nd Special Place

Posted by Judy (Brooksville, Florida, United States) on 8 November 2008 in Lifestyle & Culture and Portfolio.

This is a runner up to yesterday's image ... the corner of our guest room with the sunrise offering such warm early light. My sewing machine is in this room and you can tell that morning is a wonderful time to sit in there to mend or create!

Thank you so much for visiting my blog; your comments are greatly appreciated. I apologize for not getting to all of your posts. I will visit as time permits.

Yesterday it was the blue room, today is the golden one, open to the new day.
The image gives a very warm feeling.

8 Nov 2008 7:40am

@Paco Díaz: Thanks, Paco. The blue room gets the late afternoon light and this one obviously the golden morning sun.

djedfre from schaumburg, United States

8 Nov 2008 7:52am

@djedfre: Thank you ...... I'm glad I could share some of this warm sunlight with you.

Pixim from Nice, France

Very beautiful light for this beautiful photo, you knew to wait your hour in order to make us share this place, which undoubtedly is a special place for you ;)

8 Nov 2008 11:28am

@Pixim: I really had trouble deciding which one to post yesterday, but blue is my favorite color, so that one won out, with this sunny room being my second choice. ;D

Fliss from Melbourne Beach, United States

Nothing nicer then when you are sitting in a room and there is a soft light coming through... this is sweet....

8 Nov 2008 1:16pm

@Fliss: Sweet at this time of year ... a bit hot in the summer's eastern light, but then I close the blinds. ;)

Jeff from Pembroke Dock, United Kingdom

Close call, but I like the warmth and welcome in this shot...Thank you for the visit.

8 Nov 2008 1:55pm

@Jeff: When the afternoon light comes into the blue room, it's hard to capture the ambiance inside, but since blue is my favorite, it took first place, with this being a close second! *smile*

Barbara from Florida, United States

Beautiful feeling to this image Judy, I love the cozy glow to the morning light.
Think I'll stretch....... and doze off one more time. An atmosphere you would not want to leave. Only the aroma of fresh brewed coffee could drag me away.

8 Nov 2008 5:26pm

@Barbara: Oh, Barb, what a meaningful comment ... thank you!
Nothing is worse than a morning where the "aroma of freshly brewed coffee" wafts in, that I am not allowed to drink! <pout>
