"Oh, oh ... company!"Posted by Judy (Brooksville, Florida, United States) on 6 November 2008 in Animal & Insect and Portfolio. Now this 'people food' had to be shared. We wondered if there would be a scuffle, but they seemed to take it in stride. They poked around a bit while I took the photos, but didn't eat many nachos. Then we stepped up to the ledge and removed the plate, and threw it away as its owners should have done in the first place. ****************************************** From Kylie Next Challenge... "MY Special Place" (tomorrow) Friday 7th November. Maybe it is the place you live, a room you love, a place you go... somewhere you love to be, a place that is "your space" that means something to you. (No toilets please :o) Please also let me know any ideas you might have for future challenge topics. Thank you so much for visiting my blog; your comments are greatly appreciated. I apologize for not getting to all of your posts. I will visit as time permits. ---~--- Philippians 4:13 'We can do all things through Christ who strengthens us.' ... <*}}}><

Michael Skorulski from Cigel, SlovakiaVery nice detail and composition, Judy. I know these birds can be aggressive. 6 Nov 2008 5:32am @Michael Skorulski: The calmness of these two, told me they got plenty to eat. ;( Magda from Vancouver, CanadaWell... lets party! Jeff from Pembroke Dock, United KingdomCracking shot of two fussy eaters, our gulls are getting to be a menace, snatching food out of peoples hands, ripping refuse bags open,it's getting like Hitchcock s The Birds. :>) 6 Nov 2008 2:58pm @Jeff: Thanks, Jeff ... and thankfully there weren't many at this hotel. I suppose enough visitors (probably British) were feeding them that they didn't need to to too aggressive. ... I hope you know I'm kidding. ... ♥ @PD: Thanks a lot! @Viewfinder: GOOD title substitute, VF! tyan from Singapore, Singaporeit looked like it was just one bird, its scary to me when i see birds suffling for food like that, the sound their wings make and whether there are lots of fleas (?) flying when they flap their wings? LOL. Shivers. BUt I am glad you removed the plates.:) thanks for your kind words at my blog.I guess i really need some kind of break. 6 Nov 2008 5:41pm @tyan: It sounds that you are a bit more paranoid about birds in general than I am over here, Ty. I love to hear the flutter of their wings, and fleas? We have sand fleas, so walking in the sand is an equal issue. MJ from Delaware, United StatesThis is great... I love the sharpness... and yes it was at Tarpon at the sponge docks. 6 Nov 2008 8:53pm @MJ: Ahhhhhhh, what fun to be there on Dodecanese Boulevard in Tarpon Springs! Marion from Nanaimo, BC, CanadaI can imagine there was much squawking going on!! Great shot Judy. The detail in their wings is really good. ♥! 6 Nov 2008 10:08pm @Marion: Surprisingly, there wasn't ANY squawking ... they just quietly shared. :D MaryB from Staffordshire, United KingdomYou got this shot spot on Judy, I've seen what these gulls can do too! infact it was so bad that they had lines up to stop the birds swooping on peoples food as they sat outside to eat. Still a few got through and it was bedlam lol One time we were sitting in another part of the island (Jersey Channel Islands) enjoying an ice cream. All of a sudden something pushed passed my shoulder and my sons Iced lolly was taken from him in one go, the stick was swallowed by the greedy gull too! lol 6 Nov 2008 11:20pm @MaryB: Oh, Mary ... what a story you've shared. @Jen: Great comment, Jen ... thanks! vu@granby Gilles Martineau from Granby, Québec, CanadaDid you order those nachos to have a shot to the gulls? Anyway you did it, it's a great shot! 7 Nov 2008 2:21am @vu@granby Gilles Martineau: Ha, ha ... no, we didn't order the nachos, but used the carelessness of others for the photo op! ;D Barbara from Florida, United StatesGreat shot of the two of them.
