Oleanders are pretty, but poisonous.

Colors and softness of your flowers pictures are superb Judy ! I have in my garden white and pink and dark pink oleanders (laurier-rose in french) and in Morocco they grow everywhere ! This picture is beautiful, just a delicate light!

@Marie-Hélène Ammor: Marie, what a sweet comment; it means a lot to me, especially as you know the flower and have them in your own garden. Our climates must be very similar I would guess. We don't have oleander in our yard as we were warned of their poisonous nature, but we see a number of them in our area.
I'm happy you liked these recent flower shots.

@Earnest: You are so right ... with young grandchildren around, we simply decided we didn't need them right here in the yard. :D

Beautiful clarity and softness. I love the DOF and the colors. I always enjoyed seeing the Oleanders bloom. Nicely captured Judy.

@Barbara: I think you see lots of them down there - more than we have, although there is a hedge of them on (our) Pine Island.

Right, not good for plantings in a yard where dogs are. But very pretty to look at. This one is nicely done Judy. Bella sends a big happy tail wag your way.

@Viewfinder: Thank you, VF ....... and for Bella's wags also!

Marion from Nanaimo, BC, Canada

Do they smell as pretty as they look? I like your flower pictures. Very lovely, but I am really looking forward to tomorrow's post.

@Marion: I've never sensed any fragrance, but I wonder if I've gotten close enough to tell.
I'm smiling about tomorrow's image. xx
