Winter 1962Posted by Judy (Brooksville, Florida, United States) on 5 October 2008 in People & Portrait and Portfolio. Sunday photo: this was taken in Milford, Connecticut, during a visit to my parents' home. I was pregnant with David here and Susan was 15 months old. ------~------~------~------~------~------~------~------ Each Sunday until next September, I'll be posting a photo dug from the archives of our past, as we move toward our 50th anniversary. Thank you so much for visiting my blog; your comments are greatly appreciated. I apologize for not getting to all of your posts. I will visit as time permits. ---~--- Philippians 4:13 'We can do all things through Christ who strengthens us.' ... <*}}}><

Vicki would have been just a few months old in the winter of 62. Such a beautiful shot Judy. Did you used to shake your kids into their snowsuits?? Vicki tells me that I did :D. I love that you are both focused on Susan. No wonder you moved to Florida. And this is probably the most disjointed comment that I have ever made....hugs xo 5 Oct 2008 5:52pm @Marion: "Shake my kids into their snowsuits?" I'm not sure I follow, but I do remember Susan's first snowsuit zipped diagonally from one shoulder right down one leg; it was the easiest one to use! leslie from norwich, United KingdomLovely family portrait - nice to [have an] image from times past. 5 Oct 2008 6:17pm @leslie: Thanks, Leslie. Observing from West Cheshire, United KingdomBeautiful photo Judy.... those images are worth their weight in gold. I remember the winter of 62 was cold and snowy in the UK too. [Blessings] 6 Oct 2008 12:35am @Observing: I'm smiling to think we both remember the winter of '62. Actually, the winter of '60/61 was even worse as far as snow goes. We had 4 feet+ = [1.3 meters]; that's a LOT of snow to shovel from a long driveway! Magda from Vancouver, CanadaLove it! Such sentimental value.... you can't put a price on something so precious as this! Thank you for sharing! This is wonderful... Brings some tears to my eyes.... You hit the spot! 6 Oct 2008 4:53am @Magda: Thank you, Magda; those early years are so, so precious to us!
