God's handiwork in the morning...

Posted by Judy (Brooksville, Florida, United States) on 10 August 2008 in Art & Design and Portfolio.

Low light caused some graininess that I didn't like, so I painted this with FotoSketcher.

Thank you so much for visiting my blog; your comments are greatly appreciated. I apologize for not getting to all of your posts. I will visit as time permits.

Lorraine from Gatineau, Canada

Before I got to the title, I had agreed with you Judy. How Splendid He Is, it's beautiful, and the grain doesn't work at all against the photo, in fact it adds to it ...Like a Tapestry of His Fine Work :)

10 Aug 2008 11:54am

@Lorraine: Splendid indeed, or awesome ... both are true.
The program added that "tapestry" feel to it; I'm glad you enjoyed it, Lorraine. Have a great Sunday!

Chris from South Jersey, United States

Beautiful colors, and nicely processed - the canvas looks really cool. The beauty of His creation is everywhere - even in us.....

10 Aug 2008 12:42pm

@Chris: Thank you, Chris, and you are so correct!

This morning we attended a different church, where an old friend was the guest preacher. He has been in prison ministry for the past eight years and has wonderful tales and testimonies to share.

The challenge, he said, "is to convince these inmates, thought not a ONE of them claims to be guilty of the crime they're incarcerated for, that they will be accepted by God, if they would but accept Him."

@tyan: You are so right, my dear friend.

I saw your photo earlier today, before church, and was so distressed by your dealings with sickness, that I was 'tongue-tied'. I will go back and write you a note.

Lean on Him for your strength!!!

I really like the effect that the canvas gives to this image. A great idea of a good way to cover some graininess in an image.

Japanalia from Yokohama, Japan

A most real capture! At times I can see such colours even in the sky around our community, some indescribable hues of pink! And then I tell myself....the sky is blushing!

11 Aug 2008 5:14am

@Japanalia: I like that - "the sky is blushing!" That night it truly was.
Thank you, Gabriela!
