Michael Skorulski from Cigel, SlovakiaAn exciting warm image with an excellent sky. super! 16 Jul 2008 5:33am @Michael Skorulski: Thank you, Michael. @Dimitrios: Thank you! Marion from Nanaimo, BC, CanadaGorgeous, gorgeous sunset Judy. I love how the sunset turns the water into satin lava. Wonderful composition. 16 Jul 2008 7:01am @Marion: "Satin lava..." I like that. Thank you, Marion. Japanalia from Yokohama, JapanYoshiyuki envies you this shot...he is the one with the sunsets! It makes me sigh! 16 Jul 2008 8:09am @Japanalia: Awww, he would love it when we have gorgeous sunsets, however we've had fewer of them over the past several years. ;( @Peter Miller: Thanks, Peter! Lorraine from Gatineau, CanadaAminus3 doesn't have 55,000 stars...how can I grade this photo that almost brought tears to my eyes. I'm going to shed tears very soon though 'cause right now I'm viewing this on big distorting and unclear computer screen. Soon, I'll be on my top of the line vision laptop and I'll look at it again... 16 Jul 2008 9:24am @Lorraine: Well, thank you; I'm blushing. It was a magical evening on our one overnight away and we were blessed. Betty from New Jersey, United StatesThis looks like the perfect ending to the perfect day! I have no words, just beautiful... 16 Jul 2008 10:08am @Betty: As I wrote to Lorraine, we were blessed on our overnight away to have such a beautiful ending! Chris from South Jersey, United StatesVery nice sunset - we had a few nice ones on vacation that looked like this, you have captured this wonderfully. Really great composition (with the diagonal line of the beach) and lighting is wonderful as well...beautiful.... 16 Jul 2008 11:15am @Chris: Thank you so much, Chris ... your words are most complimentary. Rui Silva from Leiria, PortugalGreat shot. Very nice and warm colors. It's a great job. Congratulations. 16 Jul 2008 11:40am @Rui Silva: Thank you very much - God provided the colors; I just captured it. *smile* Tracey from New Port Richey Florida, United Statesi love this area. great sunset it is just beautiful. most people dont know what they are missing. we get to see this every night. we are so lucky ; ) 16 Jul 2008 11:52am @Tracey: I wish I lived closer to the water to BE there every night but with the cost of gas, we're not driving the 30 mile round trip every day. We were blessed to have such a beautiful evening for our overnight away. MaryB from Staffordshire, United KingdomAn outstanding sunset Judy, it warms the heart and the soul. 16 Jul 2008 12:13pm @MaryB: Thank you very much, Mary; it certainly warmed our hearts and souls! ;D Tracey from White Hall, United StatesVery pretty sunset with the great texture of the ocean. It seems a bit over sharpened to me, but that is just my taste. The soothing yellows and oranges are wonderful and I love the sun playing peek-a-boo from behind the cloud! 16 Jul 2008 12:23pm @Tracey: Thank you, Tracey. You may be right on the sharpening - it looked blurry, but I think maybe it was the ripple action that just wasn't as sharp because it was moving. Checking this against the original, I used the unsharp mask at a radius of 1. Thanks for your observations! @Eleftheria!: Thank you, Sweetie! @Ina: Thank you, Ina ... very much! Observing from West Cheshire, United KingdomSpectacular, it's a beautiful image. 16 Jul 2008 8:10pm @Observing: Thanks a lot! Barbara from Florida, United StatesMagnificent indeed. It is the way you framed the shot and angle of the waves with the beach that makes this even more spectacular. Nice one Judy! 17 Jul 2008 1:34am @Barbara: Thanks, Barb ... the photo was there for the taking! ;D tyan from Singapore, Singaporethis is so beautiful! Can i print it and frame it and imagine i am there?!:) 17 Jul 2008 2:20am @tyan: Sure - and dream of the beauty God makes for us! This orientation allowed more of the scene to unfold. Viewfinder from Bradenton, United StatesAbsolutely wonderful sunset, and well-composed for max impact. 17 Jul 2008 2:13pm @Viewfinder: As I wrote elsewhere, God supplied the scene, I simply captured it. ;) @Anita: Thanks a lot!
