Let's go for a sail...Posted by Judy (Brooksville, Florida, United States) on 14 July 2008 in Sport & Recreation and Portfolio. Looking over a dune, we saw evidence of someone's 'toy' - and the water beyond. Thank you so much for visiting my blog; your comments are greatly appreciated. I apologize for not getting to all of your posts. I will visit as time permits. ---~--- Philippians 4:13 'We can do all things through Christ who strengthens us.' ... <*}}}><

Michael Skorulski from Cigel, SlovakiaA great composition which invokes visions of adventure. 14 Jul 2008 5:14am @Michael Skorulski: Thanks, Michael - just a hint of someone's fun! Japanalia from Yokohama, JapanLike Michael said in his comment, this is the promise of adventure! I like the sky very much and the glimpse of the ocean beyond the dune. 14 Jul 2008 8:24am @Japanalia: Thank you, Gabriela. Peter Miller from Lichfield, United KingdomMakes me wonder what the rest of it is like 14 Jul 2008 9:05am @Peter Miller: It made us wonder also, but we had our dog with us and none were allowed on the beach.......so we didn't see what type of small boat it was. Lorraine from Gatineau, CanadaI'm right there with you Judy, gosh it's gorgeous, such a summer feel to it, a time of freedom and abandon, oh and mimosa....mmm before or after we jump in the water? 14 Jul 2008 9:29am @Lorraine: You are definitely an adventurer, Lorraine! ..... Sounds good to me! Barbara from Florida, United StatesI love the composition here Judy. Intense clouds, beautiful dunes and great clarity in the image. Michael said it the best that it invokes adventure. 14 Jul 2008 1:20pm @Barbara: Thanks, and this is right in your 'neck of the woods' Barb ... off Gulf Blvd. tyan from Singapore, Singaporeit is as if another world is there crying out to be explored.A sense of suspense and mystery too!:) 14 Jul 2008 3:00pm @tyan: I agree - let's go out for bit of adventure! ;D Observing from West Cheshire, United KingdomGreat shot over the dunes, wonder what the mast was attached to...? 14 Jul 2008 4:45pm @Observing: As I wrote on another comment, we had our dog w/us and they weren't allowed on the beach, so we didn't get o see the boat itself. Marion from Nanaimo, BC, CanadaWhat a wonderful composition. Adventure, mystery and beauty all rolled into one. The clouds are gorgeous and so are the colors. Belle did you a favor not letting you go any further because this is a gorgeous shot. What an eye you have Judy. 14 Jul 2008 6:10pm @Marion: Thank you, Marion. I find it interesting to let my heart lead me to photos - then let my eye see what it can in the viewfinder. As I saw this, I could imagine the wind blowing against the tiny facial hairs on my cheeks - SNAP; captured for posterity! *smile* MaryB from Staffordshire, United KingdomOoops, I forgot to comment on today's (after catching up with your other posts lol ) after the last comment, I went off to start the evening meal. I love the blue sky and the tempting look at the boats mast behind the dunes beautiful Judy. 14 Jul 2008 6:14pm @MaryB: Thanks, Mary ... I appreciate your return 'trip'. <grin> Boats and water ALWAYS pull me in ... sweet memories of sailing our own boats! Tracey from White Hall, United StatesI love the feeling of mystery with this picture. It leaves me wanting to peek over the dune to see more of the treasure on the other side. 14 Jul 2008 8:03pm @Tracey: Thanks, Tracey ... I wanted to also, but didn't want our precious dog impounded! Chris from South Jersey, United StatesGreat composition Judy - the mast hidden behind the dunes asks a question and the threatening clouds and hint of water are just great...... 14 Jul 2008 8:12pm @Chris: Thank you, Chris .... the beach is such a special place for us. Viewfinder from Bradenton, United StatesI like the way the dune hides all but the mast of this sailboat; there's more adventure around the next bend kind of feel to it. Especially nice is the sea oats' vertical pattern at an angle with the mast. And the clouds give it quite the dramatic overall effect. It's a keeper, for sure. 15 Jul 2008 3:09am @Viewfinder: Thank you, for your meaningful comment! Much appreciation... @muris: Thank you! |
