njsux from Shrewsbury, NJ, United States

Wow - that wave looks huge! Re: Long Branch, this past weekend a whale carcass washed up on Seven Presidents beach. I didn't see it but I heard it looked and smelled pretty bad.

8 Jul 2008 12:30am

@njsux: WOW.........I guess it would smell bad. I wonder how many were there TO see it?
The waves on this day were huge and the surfers had a 'whale of a time'.
Our young, Florida born grandson had never been to the ocean, so he was thrilled - and scared!

Barbara from Florida, United States

This is a good laugh, the pose of the young boys and perfect framing to including the girls. I guess this lad will never be a surfer.
Incredible wave rolling in. I knew that couldn't be the Gulf of Mexico at first glance.
Nice colors and very well composed.

8 Jul 2008 3:31am

@Barbara: It was such a funny shot as it unfolded before me.
The waves that day were incredible and Quinlin was funny, seeing them for the first time - both exhilarated and frightened.
