Ladybug, ladybug fly away home...

Posted by Judy (Brooksville, Florida, United States) on 23 June 2008 in Animal & Insect and Portfolio.

Our grandson's sharp eyes spotted this little lady on our Crape Myrtle and brought her to the porch so Nana could take pictures.

Thank you so much for visiting my blog; your comments are greatly appreciated. I apologize for not getting to all of your posts. I will visit as time permits.

Marion from Nanaimo, BC, Canada

How nice of her to stop by for a visit. Did she know she was with THE ladybug?? Cute little bug. Great collage of her travels.

23 Jun 2008 2:55pm

@Marion: I'm not sure what she thought, but you know how thrilled I was!

I created a mini-sticker that I use on letters, which reads,
"I believe in miracles;
some of them are tiny."
(+ a little picture of a ladybug)

Chris from South Jersey, United States

cute - you probably maxed out your memory card on this subject, didn't you!!!

23 Jun 2008 4:25pm

@Chris: Well, I would have had to be on the porch for HOURS to fill up a 2GB card! ;D

Ina from Krugersdorp, South Africa

tyan from Singapore, Singapore

wow, both grandson and Nana Judy has a good eye for details!i was teaching Caleb how to say ladybird in our native tongue and he refused to say it!Insisted on saying 'ladybird'...LOL

24 Jun 2008 2:08am

@tyan: That is so funny ... I can almost hear Caleb saying "Ladybird" ... maybe it wasn't as funny for YOU, though.

Barbara from Florida, United States

I love these images, what a good eye your grandson has. Excellent presentation.
I do admit I am hooked too, no matter where I am if I see ladybugs on anything I wonder if you already have one of those.
Recently it was a small overnight bag.
Now that I am beginning to see more of them (through your photography) I realize that they do have different spots or markings that make them so unique.

@Barbara: Years ago, finding little ladybug things was difficult, but in the past four or five years, they seem to be all over the place. We saw many in Austria in 1998 - most all restaurants and many homes had stickers on a window for good luck. I just see them as one of God's tiny miracles.

Japanalia from Yokohama, Japan

So the Ladybug took a trip......would be something to hear "her" opinions! You always finf some special way of presenting things and making them look so interesting and attractive!

@Japanalia: Thank you, Gabriela ... when one photo just doesn't seem to complete my 'thought' or feelings, sometimes a collage does. Quinlin was soooooo happy he found the ladybug for Nana to photograph.

Fliss from Melbourne Beach, United States
